i have been df since early 1995 and have never had the so called follow up visit by any elders.. saturday night i had a visitor.
it was a jw friend i have known for a very long time.
he was my best man and vice versa many years ago.
Greetings brother...great to hear you finally got a shepherding LOL...better late then never eh? Though I understand you gave him some food for thought...you just never know what seeds of doubt you may have sown.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us...and I'm happy that this brother found it in his heart to call and make contact with you after all these years. There is hope for me too then...as I have some dear friends that I would love to hear from again. It sure is nice to hear a JW do something positive regarding ex-dubs.

bushfires have been raging around sydney for the past 2 days.
high temperatures (30c+) plus blustery hot winds have fanned fires all around my city.
the reason for this is that although the central business district of sydney and neighbouring suburbs are purely metropolitan, the outlying suburbs are surrounded by bushland, and many areas naturally have plenty of vegetation.
Hey Prisca...I've been watching the late news and early morning news to get regular updates...its looking really scarey. Hang in there kiddo.
Btw Downunder...I told Prisca we'd give her a call on Saturday from the venue of the meetup so we can all say g'day from the city voted most popular place in the world to live - Melbourne!

I've not seen snow for many years...we don't go because you have to have the right gear for snowy environments...and we're hot weather people with lots of thongs and sunblock LOL. So have fun at the snow Windy, we'll (us in the hot and fire zone regions) will be thinking of you and oozing with jealousy.
I like your comparison between the unique beauty of a snow flake and the beauty of an individual. So many snowflakes have fallen from the sky and have melted and disappeared...that's the cycle of the snowflake. But for one special moment in time...someone,somewhere, somehow, enjoyed the beauty of that snowflake in all its glory before it was gone. Let us not forget the snowflakes.
