Damn it! I thought this was a proposition!
LOL....I suck too!! I was just thinking that the other day when i was destroying...i mean wrapping presents. My excuse is that i haven't had too many years to perfect this art.
This is how we do it...
gee elsewhere I had to lure unsuspecting people in here somehow...now someone please tell me I am not alone...I am not the only one who gives packages that look like they have been wrapped by....well by...exJW's who have never been allowed to wrap gifts
Is there a wrapping gene?
If I package anything (seldom do) it turns out looking like the Christmas tree! Kinda triangular even if its meant to be square...ah well, its all good fun and people never guess what it is.

Mine turn out to be a bum wrap too! But, now, my sister, she's another story. She's got it mastered. But she worked in a drug store and used to wrap gifts for customers. So, she has had experience.
take your gifts to the nearest mall and most of them have have gift wrapping services for a couples of bucks.
wrapping is really easy though put the gift in a box, and then fold the wrapping paper around it and take the ends and make folds like your making an airplane and then tuck them on one top of the box and there you have it. and put a bow on top.
or what I do some times is I put tissue paper in a decretive bag with a Christmas theme and but some on the bottom and put gift in and then some tissue on top and there you have it.

No you are not alone, I too am a member of the wretched wrappers club!
I start out carefully measuring and cutting but then there is the tape factor!!!!!!!!!!Combine this with five thumbs on each hand and you have a true recipe for disaster. I also run with scissors, so this is not a good activity for my participation to say the least!
mac, of the really likes those decorative bags instead class
I am not good at it either. I try to buy my gifts at stores who have a free gift wrapping service. Free is good. I don't like paying even a few bucks for gift wrapping. Yes, I am cheap, or more precisely, I am frugal.
