  Be nice to Larc, Prisca, & Refiners Fire

  in recent weeks i have been stunned at how larc, prisca, and refiner's fire have been treated and maligned so badly ... it is just unbelievable.

  these are good people who have good views, opinions and express themselves well ... they are supportive when folks are down ... and it seems they certainly deserve much respect.

  thought that they need to know how much they are appreciated.

  I'm all torn up Inside

  i've had two nights wihtout being able to sleep.

  i've been turning all night.. i'm having images of my old days in the gulf.

  from first being dropped in at 1500 feet to the stupid republican guard holding there ground.. i see and feel the blackening sky as the oil wells were lit on fire and the intense heat they produced in an already oven like country.. i feel so bad for my old comrades as they encounter the "new enemy" and feel as if i abandoned them.. i should be there i keep thinking...i should be there..i should..i should....*.

  I think its good that you are reaching out for comfort right now...it sounds like you have been thru a lot...and I wish there was more that could be said to help you deal with the emotional anguish you are going thru. I'm sorry that I don't have the right words...or any background experience to be able to share with you. I'm so ill equipped with military things.

  I only hope that you take up the offer to email people...as there seems to be a lot of support and kindness out there...and its good to know that you can 'tap in' when you feel like things are getting on top of you...even if it is just to get stuff off your chest...I know that always helps me.

  How many of us have had issues with Blood??

  how many of us have had a problem with the blood issue when you were a dub??

  what help were the elders in the cong?.

  are you still opposed to taking blood??

  I almost had a blood transfusion...but because I was a witness I refused one twice...when two of my babies were born. The first time the doctor used an alternate treatment but was very cross with me for testing his skill as a doctor...needless to say he saved my life.

  During both accounts the doctors were well informed of my choice not to have blood and both times they were prepared and provided an alternative. I was very lucky to be in the care of skilled professionals.

  My stand on the blood issue now is very different. I would have no problems with accepting or donating blood....for myself or my children. It hardly seems appropriate to refuse blood based on bible principles when I'm 'fornicating' in my spare time :o)

  JW "Prince" buys mansion in Toronto

  just heard on the news this evening that musician-turned jw 'formerly known as prince' has purchased a mansion in the bridlewood neighbourhood of toronto.. purchase price is reported at $5.5 million (canadian$).. but, will he come to the next apostofest??.

  You're gonna give yourself a nose bleed in a minute...check your email...then follow the instructions...and see how you get on. It should work. When you post your pic onto the webpage...copy the link (the address of the webpage http:\\.... etc) into the section in your profile where your pic link should go. I think thats right.

  Let us know how u get on. I bet the pic you're gonna use is going to crack me up lol.

  For those who've left - any regrets?

  i left almost nine years ago at age 18; my only real regret was that i was good friends with a young brother and i never said goodbye to him, or even let him know that i was planning to leave (had to leave my parents' home secretly while they were at the meeting one sunday; they had such a hold over me that i could never have stood up to them and told them beforehand).

  .

  i have no other regrets about leaving; i'm am now happily agnostic and so thankful that i found the strength to break free.. anyone have any similar regrets?

  I regret hurting my JW ex husband...I hope he finds a nice JW lady he deserves. Any single JW ladies out there aged between 28 - 36 looking for a nice looking JW man?? He is waiting on Jehovah...so hopefully someone out there might want to hurry things up for him...I would like to see him settle down and be happy.

  Thats my only regret...if I could have done things differently I would have left the borg first...not the marriage first and then the borg. I used the failing marriage as an excuse to exit the borg...and the marriage was only failing because of our differing spiritual needs. Sorry for rambling.

  how do I cover my tracks?

  long story but a couple of months ago i broke up with my boyfriend.

  i am giving him back his computer (i have my own)but used his pretty often.

  my question is how do i clean it up so that he can not get to my email addresses, favorite sites, old email etc.

  Have u deleted the temporary internet files yet?? You need to delete everything in the recycled bin afterwards as well. But at least he won't be able to see all the web pages you have been to...which is better then nothing. Also, I think most email websites are pretty secure...he may be able to access the homepage but I don't think he can view a window which shows your email text etc....others out there might know if this is true or not. With hotmail...if you do a search in the temporary internet files...you will only get the hotmail homepage...the security system won't let you view the previously read mail pages etc. I guess it all depends on what email program you are using.

  You will find the temporary internet files in the windows folder (i think).
