Movie that could describe your experience as a jw?

personnally, i thing that the movie "the matrix" and the movie "the truman show" really describe my experience in the wbts.

when i discovered the truth about the "truth", my perception of the reality became really different.

all that i have been taught was just a big lie.

Childbearing in THIS time of the End

responsible childbearing in this time of the end .

i heard the talk that formed the basis of this article in the summer of 1987 while attending with my pregnant wife.

the stress was on not having children and devoting lives to preaching the watchtower's message.

I must have been pregnant then too...my son will be 14 this year....just think...joy2bfree and me and thirdson's wife could have been sitting near each other at that very assembly...swapping shy smiles with each other...and thinking to ourselves "phew!!..she didn't listen either".

Do you see many jw's at your door?

this has probably been addressed before, but.... the other day a philipino man knocked on our door.

my husband answered it, and a nice elderly man said something in philipino to us, holding a watchtower and awake.

my husband said we only spoke english, and the old man smiled, said something and left.

in the door to door work.

she always had bible studies.. but she started noticing a change in the kind of people.

Hey terafera...i didn't realise my rocking back and forth distracted you dear LOL.

So many of us came from dysfunctional homes...I know I did...but at the time I didn't know what a dysfunctional family was...I just accepted mine for what it was. I agree with you RedhorseWoman... the kingdom hall is like a magnet for 'needy' people...and your summary of the evil rich man who wont inherit God's kingdom is so true. That's exactly what we were taught to believe...the humble mildly retarted soul who rocks back n forth and rubs her hand together has a better chance then the haughty ones who adorn themselves with riches. Bullocks! There is no category for those who choose to think for themselves!

FLAG NIGHT AT THE KINGDOM HALL

being tne sarcastic semi-doubter bastard i am ,i thought i would satisfy a rebellious inkling in my soul i've wanted to satisfy at the kingdom hall from earliest teenhood i wore a flag pin under my suit jacket!whoa i thought, maybe i'll get caught!

that made it irrisistable!so yesterday i did it!

funny beneath all the smiles of my brothers and sisters was the beast of indignation waiting to surface if the sight of the monstorous abomination would surface before their eyes!

JeffT is right...use the term 'my lord Jesus our saviour' lmao...i have heard someone use that term once in a prayer and I swear before you now that I almost wet myself laughing...the reactions were hysterical...from gasphing...to eyes rolling to the backs of their heads...what a laugh.
