This is funny. I got an email from some guy and after 3 or 4 exchanges between us, I got tired of dealing with him so I called him an apostate, and said that I didn't want to talk to him anymore. haha I said the reason he was an apostate was because he used the word "hell".

i remember scanning real money and with photoshop pasting the picture of an elder on the bill over the face of the queen.
then i printed many bills.
it looked very real.
As a teen, I purchased drugs at an assembly hall. I gave my bible to the "brother" with some cash in it, he went into the bathroom, came out and gave me back my bible and told me to check out a certain verse. It was quite efficient and he always made quite a profit at the assemblies.

i am looking good repository of instances where the watchtower or awake!
have quoted secular sources in such a way to make it appear the source supports their argument when it is blatantly obvious that the secular source disagreed with them.
if it doesn't exist, i am about to make one.
I recall an illustration in the endnotes of the Kingdom Interlinear (I think. Its been well over thirty years) which is of a man being crucified on a pole. The WTBTS use a quotation from the author of the book in a misleading manner. The author does not support the idea that 'stauros" ( pronounced stav-ROS in modern Greek) means "torture stake" or that Christ was executed on a pole.
I remember seeing that before too.

Wow. The book is about $100 and there's only 5 libraries in Canada that have it, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Montreal and St. John's. None near me. Thanks for the info Kaput.

i have a couple of questions for anyone who has been reinstated.. what kinds of questions did they ask you?.
if they decided to reinstate you were you told not to discuss why you were dfed, especially if another jw was involved?

I was told that I would be obligated to talk to others about what I did wrong if I felt it would stop them from making the same mistake. Funny, because I was DF'd for putting private thoughts into a diary which was then read by my mother and then passed onto the elders, so was I supposed to read other people's diarys?

my former colleagues at the clinic i used to work at took me out for lunch today.
what i didn't know was that they'd arranged a "birthday" party for me.
although my birthday isn't until june they wanted to celebrate the 25 birthdays i've missed while a jw.

Interesting that they don't want to embarass the elders for going overtime, yet it's OK for the R & F? Why the heck are they so important as to not interupt? They're just spewing out recycled crap anyway.
