Yeah. Me too. Especially of the kind that scientists can't deny! I guess he/she lied. Their god will be unhappy at their poor witness to unbelievers. Could this person say as Paul did, that they didn't waste any opportunity? Unfortunately, NO.

What was it that "clicked" w/ you that this wasn't the "true religion"?
by cognac infor me, it was not being able to prove that people were going to be resurrected to earth... i'm still not sure of the answer, but for some reason that just started this huge, fast snowball of different things that i couldn't prove... .

For me it was the JW's beginnings. I read Apocolypse Delayed by James Penton, and came to realize that the whole thing started out in a way that there is no possibility that it had God's blessing.

well kwin i would be a liar if i provided proof and it was found out it did not tell the truth
so are you saying that you are refusing to provide the proof that you said that you know of so that you wouldn't have to lie? if so, then you lied about there being proof. I'm just asking for it, and I think a good place for you to provide it is on the other thread that I mentioned so this one isn't hijacked anymore. We're all waiting for the proof so we can believe in Jesus like you do. Please provide it to us, or have our blood on your hands should we end up in hell.

Visit with my uncle
by Bumble Bee inwell, yesterday was probably the last time i'll see my uncle alive.

we got to the hospital and my three cousins were there with their children (who i haven't seen in many many years).

I'm not totally sure how I think about your family's handling of the greif. I guess at least they're being comforted, even though it's (as I believe) a false comfort. Anything that helps I guess is better then nothing. Some people turn to alcohol or drugs, other's turn to religion.
It's just too bad that he's so determined to strap a bomb on himself become a martry.
