most of us were taught that this was the works of satin.
im not sure i believe that.
i had never had any experiences before i moved in there.
I've had a few things happen to me which I can't explain..
At the time when I was still attending meetings, one night I fell asleep on the couch in the living room and woke up in the middle of the night. It was pretty dark but I looked over and saw my dog sleeping in the kitchen doorway, a few lights outside, ect. My head was laying on the armrest of the couch and my hair was dangling over it, and as I lay there, I feel something touch my hair. It freaked the heck out of me and I couldn't move. Then i felt whatever it was start to twirl my hair, and then it had such a grip on it that I couldn't move my head. After I caught my breathe I screamed my head off and my parents came running out of their bedroom. They said it was just a dream but I looked around again and all my surroundings were exactly the same..the lights in the neighbors houses, ect.
When I was very young, my mom and I were alone in our house we lived in last, and we heard someone run across the whole length of the upstairs of the house as clear as a bell. like a "BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM" But when the upstairs was checked out no one was there.
Also when I was like 6 years old I went downstairs for a toy or something and saw a man looking at me when I walked by the furnace. I ran upstairs as fast as my feet would take me lol..My parents didn't believe me at the time, though.
I think I can explain away the last two experiences with someone sneaking around our house when we lived in the city..but not too sure about the first one..

poor thing, she's had alzheimer's for about 10 years and the last year she's been on hospice care because she's been so close to death.
the past few months she's been slowly filling up with water -- they gave her lasix (not sure of the spelling) to relieve the edema and it worked, sort of.
last weekend she actually looked a little better.
I am sooo sorry for your loss...
big bear ((((((((hugs))))))))...

or anything similar???
the nearest i came was knocking myself out - my life actually did flash before my eyes.
it could only have been seconds before bumping my head and hitting the ground, but i flashed through scene after scene of life events, from childhood to adulthood.
My mom had heart attacks right after I was born, and they had to shock her back to life. The doctors actually misdiagnosed her having a heart attack as a ANXIETY ATTACK. Once they realized it was really a heart attack and she wasn't losing it, she was gone and they brought her back. She said she doesn't know exactly what happened but that she came back feeling very peaceful and was smiling. It's amazing the things that she's survived.
Mine had to do with sleeping pills that as a weird side affect made me hallucinate, and I don't know if I was so out of it that I didn't remember taking the previous ones or if I just had no clue what I was doing but I took the rest of the bottle. Before anyone else knew what was going on, I didn't recognize anyone in my house and couldn't walk or talk correctly. I wasn't taken to the ER for certain reasons but I fell asleep and woke up about 24 hours later thinking I just fell asleep the night before and woke up the next day. It was very strange. I remember some things now but not much of it.

There was this one family of Witnesses who had two daughters, one 15 and one 17. The first time I met the family, both daughters were attending meetings with their parents and the second time I met them, the older daughter had been disfellowshipped because of something to do with having a worldly boyfriend..
I remember the elders talking after the Sunday meeting about where to go for lunch, and they were discussing how they couldn't go to the restaurant where she worked because they would be forced to talk to her if she took their order..I kept thinking "dont you guys think it might help her if you went there and saw her instead of avoiding her" but I didn't understand the whole shunning thing at that point...
I've really wondered how she was doing. She seemed like a really nice girl.
did you ever hear anyone conspicuously swear at meeting or out in service?
and i'm not talking about sitting in the bleachers with your buddy at the dc and telling dirty jokes.
i mean someone slipping a curseword into her comment at the watchtower study or dropping the f-bomb after realizing he left his bookbag on the roof of the van while pulling out of the kh parking lot with a full car group.. any takers?
Well...I vaguely remember one of the few times I went out in field service tripping on the sidewalk and saying something like "Shiiieeoot"
so how's things?
been really humid in new south these past few days with afternoon storms.
right now the refreshing rain is falling and mrs ozzie and i are enjoying a(nother) box of ferrero rocher chocs.
9. The infernal internet! LOL
