  Christmas Family Reunion Tarnished by the Borg

  my mother died from breast cancer less than a year after my high school graduation.

  right before her illness she had finally left my abusive step-father and was close to seeing the light about the borg.

  then she got sick and the elders told her she needed to return to her husband or be out of jah's favor.

  having been taught that dating is only when you are ready for a marriage mate and then you get married forever, i was so quick to commit.

  almost got married after 6 months to the first boyfriend i ever had when i was 18, a jw of course.

  then i saw the light and didn't do it.

  my emotions are a roller coaster

  when i first got on this site a few days ago i felt so much relief and joy.

  i was even trying to help others right away because i have been out for ten years already.

  now i am finding that other people's comments and memories are bringing up so many of my own that i have suppressed for years.

  moved all over the united states growing up so that my stepfather could outrun his "reputation".

  he always blamed it on me and my sisters saying that we tarnished his rep with lies about him.

  they weren't lies they were the truth and we didn't even have to tell anyone they figured it out on their own.. anyway, went from one coast to the other and back.
