  Smoking

  why do we continue to do it even tho we know its bad for us?????

  i gave up bout a year ago but still have one occasionally i dont even know if i enjoy it all that much but i still do it.

  ive seen three of my family members die as a result of smoking and yet i light another one up!

  I quit about a year and a half ago. I still get cravings but they don't last very long, just a minute or so. Smoking was a crutch for me I smoked until I couldn't feel anymore, just chainsmoked myself into oblivion. I had to learn to deal with my feelings when I quit.

  I must say it has been a fascinating journey.

  i'm flipping through the channels today and i happend upon a 30 min interview with mr cruise.

  i was curious and there was nothing else on so i decided to watch it.

  this was a 30 minute advertisement for scientology.

  Talesin,

  I saw him on Oprah too. And the next day we talked about it at work. We all thought his behaviour was bizarre. He was standing on the furniture and doing the kneel and fist pump every two minutes. Isn't his girlfriend very young?

  How did you get over your silly fear of demons?

  even now, i still battle with a silly fear of if something might have demons or not...i know it is silly, really, i do, but i haven't been able to get over it completely yet.

  does anyone have any suggetions for me?

  Go slow and desensitize yourself.

  A movie that once scared me to death is Polterguiest.

  Everytime it came on TV, I would watch a few minutes of it at a time. . . and nothing happened!

  You slowly build on the idea that nothing happens and poof your not scared any more.

  Would it occur to you that their might be some middle ground.]

  Women have a right to choose whether they want a home and/or family to be their main focus.

  Also the "consecrated" status of woman is manspeak for barefoot and pregnant.

  i'd have to say for me that it was ayn rand's the fountainhead.

  even though i don't agree with a lot of her philosophy, it definitely made me stumble around in a thought-induced haze for a few weeks after reading it.

  i'm looking through the new awake magazine (great article on shoplifiting by the way) and this older sister comes and sits beside me.

  she started talking to me about this great little piece in the magazine about fish or something that should be on my dinner plate, something that i don't really care about, then she turns to me and said and i quote " where else but jehovah's organization can we learn such things?

  i sat there with a dumbfounded look on my face thinking " are you kidding me?

  Yup Tale, me too. I have a spouse and he is superb but he cannot be my all and my everything-not fair to him! I miss having friends. I became so suspicious and distrustful after the JWs. I am thinking seriously of therapy.
