Apostates commit the unforgivable sin and will NOT be resurrected.
by gumby ini posted this on another thread....but as usual, when i posted it, the thread died and so i thought i'd put it under a different subject as it's worth re-reading.. the society has always said nobody is the judge who commits the dreaded...."unforgivable sin", but they sure the hell do not having any trouble making a statement concerning apostates as commiting the unforgivable sin.. 1982 watchtower 4/1 p.26-28 .
" jesus told the unrepentant scribes and pharisees that they and their gentile proselytes were subjects for gehenna or, literally, sons of gehenna.
(matthew 23:15, 33-35; see also john 9:39-41; 15:22-24.

Does being a JW make a person physically sick?
by Gill indefinitely mentally and more than likely physically.. i have read on a few posts and freeminds about an increase of mental illness amoungst jws of between 2 and 40 % and it seems understandable considering the amount of stress being in the borg puts on people.. but what about physically?.
what are your experiences since leaving the borg?.
do you feel well and fitter than ever before?.

I think being a JW made me sick.
I got searing headaches. I mean the pain was all but unbearable. Every Sunday and I mean every Sunday, I came home from the meeting with a massive headache. Makes me sick to my stomach to think about it over 15 years later.
Perhaps the result of thrice weekly verbal beatings and "probably you might be saved." Yup "probably" and "might" these two words used to wake me up in the night.
And just for fun and mind control Satan may be able to read your thoughts.

johnny, johnny, johnny,
Nice job. All people are not the same. Some people here think you used the wrong approach. These are the people for whom that approach would not work.
Some people here believe that your approach was perfect. These are the people for whom this approach would work just fine.
Personally I don't do subtle. I don't like it when people beat around the bush and leave me to try and figure out what the heck their point is. I prefer the direct approach. Don't leave them wondering what your point is.
Works for me. And besides I bet it was theraputic as hell. Hot Damn I wish some JW's would knock at my door right now!!!!!

My Mother died...
by david_10 init happened one year ago today.
june 4, 2004. they say these things take time and that recovery gets easier as time goes on, and i suppose that's true.
but then again, some things leave a hole in your heart that will never go away.

Thankyou for giving us all something to think about. Please don't feel guilty. I think you should send a copy of your post to the KH, or if you can manage it as a letter to the editor of your local paper. Perhaps her story could save a life by keeping someone from joining the cult or help some get out while they have time to build a new life.
You did not inflict cruelty, that was the JW's. Damn them to hell.

Yup, I mean HanEnuf's Cheesehead extravaganza!!! My daughters are going to come with me, we have a room and I can't wait. The kitty is just a picture I found. She is my dream kitty!! My daughter is terribly allergic to kitties so my kitty had to move out a few years ago.
And did I mention that the sun is back. We have had the most awful cloudy Wuthering Heights type weather. Heathcliff O Heathcliff.
