I have been disfellowshipped since 2001. Does the Society still recommend that elders make annual visits to encourage people to come back? Just wondering, as I never have received one. I do not want to go back, just wondering if this is just another lie about their fake compassion and love. JK

I doubt that it is emotions that keep active dubs in the fold. After years of the mind numbing FDS propoganda, they begin to enjoy freedom FROM choice more than freedom of choice. Phrases that instantly come to their minds are: Wait on Jehovah The light will get brighter Apostasy! We are being lied about and persecuted, as Jesus foretold. Our brothers are imperfect, its no big deal JK

Help me corner them!
by Sam87 inhi everyone, just would like a bit of advice on how to 'corner' my ex jw mates so they see im right with only what their publications say and with the bible?
i have a few ideas up my sleave but i was hoping to get a few other good examples on other topics like the blood thing, but only prove them wrong using their material, that way they cant say its 'apostate' (although you never know what some jws will come up with these days).. for example whats the best and least confusing way to explain the blood thing?
we really need a reference on all of this so that we can make up a single letter that exsplains everything that they have contradicted themselves with and all the mixed up stuff they have done, straight to the point and soooo simple that even a jw can read and understand it (maybe a nice picture book with colouring in?).

The UN scandal is a good one that may open their eyes. Just use the letter from the UN about them being an NGO for 10 years, and the articles from "The Guardian" that exposed them. Then juxtapose with the articles about what whores the Catholics are being UN NGO's. WHEN THE LIE IS SO BIG - IT CAN'T BE THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!! John

"I Felt Really Betrayed When I Found Out it Was all a Lie."

i've been angry at christianity for years.
that doesn't mean i don't love the people who've been brainwashed though.".

I was disfellowshipped when I found out "the truth" was not THE TRUTH. I had fleeting thoughts of getting reinstated prior to this, but my heart was not in it. Then I became aware of the UN scandal and was appalled. When I was a good little Witness boy I knew enough about the UN from the literature from the society that it would be immoral to be a part of it. It literally sickened me when I found out that the WBTS was an NGO for a decade. What made it even worse was the "library card" BS that they tried to fertilize with. Why has no one from HQ been DF'd or reproved for this scandal? Why has there not been an apology in the WT? And they had the gall to DF me! WHEN THE LIE IS SO BIG - IT CANNOT BE THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!! John

Does Anyone Shun the JWS
by uwishufish inthe ones i grew up with always speak to me even the ones who have subsequently become elders and are pioneers.. they sicken me!!!.
i would like to shun them, eventhough we were freinds growing up.
these are pitiful people.

I am alot like OUTLAW, I only shun the ones that cheese me off! I really wanted to shun the a..holes when I was a Dub, but couldn't justify it. Most of those people shun me now that I am DF'd, so it is not a problem. The others that shun me due to what they are taught, I have no animosity toward. They are just doing their job according to the GB. Many old friends ask about me through my relatives, so I know that they really do care about me. If any of my old friends do want to contact me, I will talk with them with no reservation. John

Once I saw an elder while I was at a strip club just after I turned 21. For some reason, he saw fit not to turn me in on that occasion. Go figure! John

I never did it, did you?

in the past whenever you went on vacation (holiday) did you try and find a kingdom hall to attend and also try and put in some service time?.

Of course I did! What better way to find girls when you are from a small congregation. I liked the bigger cities where the women were wilder. I partied more than went in service on these trips. JK

Scripturally Free to Remarry?
by limbogirl inhad a discussion with a friend of mine yesterday -- she's still semi in the borg.
anyway, she says she's free to remarry as defined by dub rules.
she's divorced, however, there was no cheating by either party in the marriage.
-
JK666
She most likely is free to remarry under the JDub rules. The only exception would be if the ex-husband did not want the divorce, and was willing to forgive her for the adultery. Odds are that he would not want to do this, so free she would be. She might or might not get DF'd. If she batted her eyes enough at the comittee, and said it was in a moment of weakness, or that she had a glass of wine and one thing lead to another, etcetera; she might get off the hook. The thing that really stinks about their rules is that you definitely would get DF'd if you got married to someone without fornicating first, because it would be premeditated. IS something wrong with this picture? JK

Judicial Committee: How to control
by What-A-Coincidence inin response to many jc's as of late i thought i'd share.
don't attack them.
he will weaken his right; should he strengthen his right,.
-
JK666
For desparate situations - If you really want to throw a monkey wrench into the works, agree to meet with the committee ONLY if you can record the meeting. The "Pay Attention" book (the double top secret elder book) states that no tape recording devices are allowed at judicial committee meetings. You are agreeing to meet, they are the ones that will refuse with this condition. This might get them to drop the matter if the elders on your committee are a bunch of wussies. If they try to meet without you, you have grounds for appeal since you did agree to meet with them. I didn't try this as I thought that working with them would be better (I was DF'ed anyway). If anyone tries this, let me know how it works. JK666
