  Memorial Partaker totals for 72 years by request!

  question from researcher: the other day you posted the australian peak publishers and i was wondering if it would be possible to post the numbers of the "memorial partakers" from 1935 to 2006. that would be about 72 years of totals.. my answer: yes, we can do that for you but it will take a few hours to get everything together and scanned.

  i will have to use different forms of wt literature to accomplish this.. unless indicated otherwise, numbers listed show partakers for previous year and some could show: "still incomplete" but they are still listed as a total nevertheless.

  Caught Wife Cheating

  so i posted a while back about my marriage problems.... whole new gambit thrown into the mix.

  i've had suspicions all along that something like this might be happening... but only just not confirmed that she's been cheating on me... with another jw that she works with!

  she could have been more discreet about it rather than leave all the text messages on her phone.

  I went through a situation like yours, I know that the pain seems unbearable! Let me share my story with you so that you do not make some of the same mistakes as I did.

  I married young to another JW girl in my congregation. Five years into the marriage, I found out that she had an affair with a friend of mine from another congregation. I ended up forgiving her, as she told me it was a fling and that it wouldn't happen again. I warned her that if it ever did, I would divorce her. I also decided not to take her to the BOE.

  Two years later, I found out about another affair with a worldly co-worker. She again apologized. This time I called in the Elders. While this was going on, she confessed that while we were on vacation visiting her family, she also had sex with her cousin's boyfriend (I suspect a menage, though never proven). She cried the crocodile tears, and seemed real contrite about wanting to stay married. But she wouldn't change jobs, and still wanted to meet with the guy she worked with to talk.

  The elders publicly reproved her, and STRONGLY encouraged me to take her back. She moved out while I thought about what to do. I asked that she break off association with her cousin and her boyfriend, but she told me that I could not her what to do. I said "You're right, I can't; But I sure as hell can divorce your ass!"

  During the time of her JC and my deciding to divorce her, unbeknownst to me, she got pregnant from a different guy at work. If I would have taken her back, I would not have known the baby wasn't mine until she was born (interracial relationship).

  End of story. It hurt like hell, but in time I was able to move on. This happened 20 years ago, but there is nothing new under the sun. My advice: RUN LIKE YOUR ASS IS ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  (P.S. She didn't get DF'd for getting knocked up either, never count on justice in the Borg!)

  A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?

  Wow Wow Wow! An extremely long story. I will give you the "Cliff's notes" version.

  I developed a drinking problem trying to assimilate "Spiritual Food" (arsenic doesn't sit well in the tummy, even with KoolAid.) I was df'd once because of this problem for a couple of years, then found help through a 12-step program. I worked to get reinstated after a period of recovery, but the EldersTM, thought that I should get my help through the Congo. They strongly discouraged participation in my recovery group, and said that I needed to become a Spiritual ManTM.

  I got reinstated, and eventually got drunk agaiin. They, of course, disfellowshipped my ass, after lying to me about another judicial matter that really f'd me up in the head (This is a whole chapter by itself).

  Then, with my tail between my legs, I found out about the UN scandal! It really peaved me off. For the GB to take the moral high ground about a weakness of the flesh, a disease; and then be able to whore itself out like it did to the UN, proved to me that they were just as bad as any other religion on the face of the earth.

  That was the break that I needed to recover. If I ever become a part of organized religion again, I would have to start my own church. (DON'T BET ON IT) !

  Snakes,

  The way they get around all of these is making them sign a "Vow of Poverty." Loophole for organized religion in all the tax laws. Bethelites sign them (then do "government jobs" a.k.a. "G-jobs" on the side for play money.) Did someone say religion is a snare and a racket. At least the Borg got something right.
