  I see that the anger problem that you mentioned in your first post hasn't abated. I don't know if you are just having a bad day, or had a run in with someone on the board.

  Insulting the intelligence of people of JWD in general is probably not the wisest thing to do. Many of us are somewhat intelligent, and some of us actually went on to get higher education after leaving the JW's. The ones that didn't have circumstances that kept them from it. Insulting people for a lack of education isn't cool at all.

  Just chill out, girl! The anger will lessen the longer you are out, and the more you learn.

  i have been seeing reports on this over the day so thought i would bring it here.. austrian man admits holding daughter captive.

  an elderly austrian man has confessed to holding his daughter captive in a basement cell for 24 years and fathering seven children with her, police said monday.

  the 73-year-old man allegedly held his daughter elisabeth, now 42, and three of their children in a soundproof chamber below an apartment block in amstetten, a town near the austrian alps.

  Are elders angels?

  it's amazing to see how all the supernatural beings mentioned in the bible are supposed to have a counterpart in real world, more specifically within the hierarchical wt structure.

  a previous wt study pointed out that the governing body corresponds to jehovah in its capacity of sending out representatives.

  jesus was said to correspond to the class of missionaries taught by the governing body, just like jesus (or michael) had been instructed by his heavenly father.

  I learned the hard way after I moved out when 17 years old. Running out is a pain in the arse, literally. After that one time, I bought toilet paper every time I went to the store after that, whether I thought I needed it or not. Better safe than sorry.

  they only reason they have put this big change on the cost of fuel is so that they can easily come back in a year or two - just when they think this wasn't such a good idea and they're losing even more control - and say that, "well, fuel isn't as expensive now, so let's start meeting again for the book study.

  The people in the Governing Body. The UN thing was my watershed moment. I remember as a child the International Conventions of 1963, and the way the UN was vilified in the Resolution. That they could have the hypocrisy to become an NGO after that sealed the deal for me. How could they have the audacity to make moral judgements on me, after doing that, was the total deal breaker.

  Gas prices, a pretty lame excuse for the change by the GB. The CBS was the only glimmer of civility in a JW's life. The monthly "carry in" at mine was really the only feeling of camaraderie that the schedule allowed us. We would have a carry in, and the home BS was only a mile from my house. The family had a billiard table, and we would hang around and play occasionally. It was the only real human interaction within the Borg.

  They are now trying to strip every vestige of humanity from the schedule. According to the upcoming article, "Valueless Things," sex is worthless, entertainment is worthless, fun is worthless. May the GB rot in hell. Satan has a pineapple waiting for them (Little Nicky reference).

  Gas prices have absolutely no bearing on the change. It is control, control, control. We might talk if we get close, OMG! We can't have that, comparing notes will make the house of cards fall. I hope it does!
