i was just wondering but could not remember any clear account in the bible that the jubilee years (50) or sabbath years (7) were really practiced by the israelites.
is this true?
i can't remember any account of lands being returned and slaves being freed etc.
In the Book of Jeremiah, when Jerusalem was under siege, the leaders decided that perhaps if they followed the regulation of the the Jubilee year and let all the slaves go free, Jeho would maybe stop the Babylonian siege. When they saw that no change took place they enslaved all the people again.
Something like that.

How many times in past literature has the WT not stated that it was the early christians that introduced codex's, that is book- like forms, not scrolls were used.
Referring to the picture: the guy sitting in the background looks like he is snickering, is that not a forerunner of our "Outlaw"?
The green guy hunched over in a show of humility, looks like he doesn't want to be there, is he putting his scroll back in his bag?

i (as well as many) am doing fine, but sometimes i feel the need to get together with some friends for spiritual fellowship...i dont want to go back to the kh searching for it, because i know i will not find it there.
im also hesitant about looking for christian fellowship in another church, as i dont feel ready for that just yet.. .

In the Bible it speaks of those who innocently spill blood must flee to a city of refuge and remain there for decades if necessary. If they are guilty of spilling blood they are not protected. If they do not reach the city or leave it then they are in danger of losing their lives at the hands of the Avenger of Blood.
Figureatively, I consider myself as an avenger of blood. My aim, along with many others who read these posts, is to expose to the utmost of my abilities the guilt of WT tyrants and their adepts.
Many times in the news we read of terrorists or blood thirsty rebels who take refuge among groups of mothers and children to protect themselves from retribution from opposing forces.
The WT does the same thing, they brainwash their adepts with falsehood and then take refuge behind them and let the innocent die without lifting a finger.

In one of the WT old films that they put out, I think it was called "The New World Society in Action," ( It may have been another one that came later".) It showed Freddie when he arrived in New Zealand being quite titillated when a group of Maori woman came dancing towards him waving their butts in grass skirts in a traditional Maori welcome ceremony, he was tickled pink if I remember.
I also wrote in a post on this board a while back, which was an account where Gary Botting, co author of the book "The Orwellian World of Jehovah's Witnesses" went to Brooklyn Bethel and wiggled his way in to meet with Fred Franz. I will post the link in the next post.

It has been said quite a few times on this board, that if the WT totally reversed their stance on blood transfusions they would leave themselves open to many law suits from people or their relatives that sufferedd loss over their ban on blood.
Would it not be the same if they made a change that autologous blood was acceptable?
If some JW could have been saved if he had stored his own blood before surgury, and he died under an operation when autologous blood was banned, then relatives could come back on the WT for damages and sue the ass off them.
Once again, their motives are money, not lives!

as many of you know, i made the "big news" statement when kerry louderback-wood's scholarly article about watch tower's blood misrepresentation that was published in the journal of church and state was just about to be published.
i was excited about it because lives were at stake and weve never had such an article before to be able to use to show how the watch tower misrepresents the blood issue through its literature and people die because of it.

I just read an excellant book called Abraham's Children by Jon Entine. It deals with a study of the dna lineage of the Jewish people and their migrations to all parts of the earth, from China in the far east to the people of Spanish descent in southwest US.
How did the Jewish lineage show up among Spaniards. In 1492 the year Columbus set sail, Jews in the same year were expulsed from Spain. Some went to Portugal, others to Holland. Many Jews nominally converted to Catholithism. and they were called Conversos. When the America was settled by Spaniards, many Conversos migrated. It is suspected that many of Columbus' crew members were Conversos, and some believe Columbus himself was one. The Jews and Moors (Muslims) in Spain were the mathematicians, astronomers and explorers for Spain and Portugal.
Also it has been extablished that the Eastern Jews, known as the Kazaars, are really Jewish descendants. Before DNA, many believed that they were converted to Judaism and not truly of Jewish descent. Other conclaves of Jewish villages have been found in India and China and still show evidence of Jewish beliefs in their language and customs.
One village in South east africa also show evidence of Jewish lineage.
