  for those outside nyc that stands for down under the manhattan bridge overpass.

  it's an up and coming area in which the society pulled building permits for 4 twenty story residence buildings with a connecting atrium and underground parking.

  the permits were pulled last year about this time (much to the annoyance of the locals) and when inquiries were made of local bethelites the word on the street became "the governing body hasn't decided whether or not to go through with the project.

  I remember from decades ago, when they only owned two buildings in Brooklyn, the bethel home and one or two factory building.

  Then news came that big corporations were moving out of Brooklyn and setting up shop in the boondocks, out in the country.

  What a wonderful blessing from Jehovah that was. Buildings becoming vacant and up for sale at bargain prices. I believe that theSquib building was one of the first. The blessing was that now the WT could expand their printing and factory facilities. Jehovah provides .

  But Jehovah forgot to check the building permits. The buildings were not structurously sound, capable of carrying the weight of heavy printing presses or heavy storage space. I never heard further any more about the blessings of Jah in this regard.

  How ironic, that some years later, again of course with blessings of Jah behind it, the WT follows the precedent of the larger companies, who had been aware of the financial disadvantages of remaing in Dumboland, and followed them out to places such as Patterson and Wakill.

  Are these booklets still available at the kingdom hall? What is the suggested free fee? Those of you who still have the stomach to go to meetings, can you latch on to some and make them available to the rest of us pariah dogs who can't get any of them. They are going to become collector's items, and it may be sooner than you think.

  Just wait until the WT figures out how to get their huge ship turned around and get out of the dilemma they are in. Right now, if they pull them off the shelves they demonsrate that the Church and State essay has succeeded to bring about changes. If they leave them in circulation they will be torn to pieces by publicity.

  How big do you want this news to be?

  Right now this news is limited to Jaydubs ad ex-jays, and the present focus of it is on the blood issues and Watchtower-lie-Awake coverups.

  There are growing concern over issues of Religion inPolitics, Church and State in our times. Changes and awareness are in the air, and are blowin' the wind.

  Suicide bombers brain washed by religion to sacrifice their lives in bid for domination or their religion.

  Two Mormon splinter groups living in communities, one in Arizona, one at Bountiful, British Columbia where women are dominated, polygamy is rampant.

  Child abuse issues. In Canada just recently, millions of dollars were allotted to native groups in reparations for cultural and physical abuse at paroichial religious schools from decades past.

  History is being made, is happening right now, on this board, and elsewhere.

  Watch Tower babble proclaims that religion will be attacked and focused primarily on their miniscule numbers from the UN or Gog of Magog or whoever is the current present truth.

  They are blind. It is happening but not the way they see it. They are under seige from their own offspring and not a stone upon stone shall not be thrown down.

  Orwell, 1984, and the Watchtower

  so my english class just got handed (yesterday) 1984, by george orwell.

  its a book i've been wanting to read for a long time, but haven't been able to (i read non stop for english class).. so i was really excited when i got the book.

  from what i've heard about it, it seemed like it would be really pertinent for people in the watchtower.. all i can say is wow.

  If I remember right, and I will verify this, Orwell did have some early ties or influence from Jehovah's Witnesses.

  After the dismal failure of Freddy Franz's predictions for 1975, one Jehovah's Witness told my wife,

  If we have to wait til 1984, so be it.

  Orwell's book was written long before 1984. I do believe if the date 1984 had not been widely publizied by Orwell's book, the WT Society would have latched onto it.

  I have to tell you a little story about Gary Botting, and the book the Orwellian World of Jehovah's Witnesses. Gary's mother was a staunch, solid Jehovah's Witness.

  When the book was published and was in the book store at the university, Gary goes in and asks the store manager how his book was doing.

  The manager said I got good news and bad news.

  Gary: What's the good news?

  Manager: All your books are sold out.

  Gary: What's the bad news?

  Manager: Your mother comes in and buys them all and burns them.

  I thought I copied it out, but I only got 7 pages. Then I found out that the whole booklet has different sections. At the end of the url it has two digit numbers. It goes from 00 to 07. I have to go back and make sure I have the whole thing. Is there an url that copies the whole booklet?

  Because of health issues, I have read many books and websites dealing with health issues. Most of these readings are about alternative medicine that is available.

  In nearly every one of these articles it states that in no way should the information be used as a susbstitute for medical treatments and you are referred to the legal-licensed medical authorities for appropriate medical treatment. It is obvious that such warnings are included with the information provided to ward off any litigation that may result if the reader practices the health information provided.

  Does the booklet of the WT Society, How Can Blood Save Your Life? contain such a warning.

  If not, why not? They are leaving themselves open for litigation.

  I will be reading the brochure shortly and if I find they have issued such a warning I will post it.

  I have read up to page 7, except for Edourdo Leaton Jr.,,Esq. seven pages. I get to that in the morning.

  For all of you out there who are having difficulty out there grasping all this like myself, for my own understanding I summerize my take or it with the following illustration:.

  If there was a big funeral with overflowing crowds in it and standing at the doors, and some fool started screaming fire, fire. and the crowd stampeded and people died in the melee., would I be able to plead freedom of religious speech in my church to avoid liability?

  The Watchtower has been calling down fire from heaven for decades on members of their church who take blood transfusions. Thousands of their members have died from refusing blood. Can they plead not guilty of murder under the freedom of religious expression?

  I have done a quick read.

  I believe that this information can be used for other areas besides blood issue.

  Their misleading teachings on two witness requirements and not reporting to authorities has led to misery, trauma, and perhaps even death by suicide by many victims of child and sexual abuse.

  Even abusive husbands in the JWs who have been mislead in believing that their wives must be total submission has lead to tradegy.

  Kidnapping of children

  Families broken apart.

  Misleading donations from Tsunami and Earthquakes to World Wide Lying Work

  Suicides and death of entire families, (compare Jonestown) by teaching that if they die now, they will be resurrected to Paradise.

  Many many areas need to be scrutinized and the use of this information widen to other areas besides blood as far as possible

  I know that a lot of thinking and study will take place for months to come.

  I gotta break for sleep.

  COMFORT ISSUES
  
  A regular toilet has a terribly small seat. This creates very uncomfortable pressure points, consequently producing numbness in the legs and thighs from lack of proper blood flow. Our toilet seats have 150% more contact surface area than a standard elongated seat, yet it can be used by a small person or a child in a safe way. Considering ergonomics, the toilet seat and bowl have more than 6 extra inches in the front. We made the toilet bowl 17 ½” tall, which gives most people an easier time getting up. It also makes it ADA compliant. Finally, for those of us that are tall regardless of our weight, a standard toilet seat and a low toilet bowl create a very cramped and uncomfortable position. The GJ toilet has 10.5” longer legs and thighs clearance than a standard round toilet assuring a comfortable and ultra-relaxed experience.
  
  SAFETY ISSUES
  
  The Great John is substantially more robust than a standard toilet. Standard designs are not meant to withstand a big person. For STABILITY, we designed a super wide base. To insure STURDINESS, we also added reinforcements into the base. Our toilets are tested to 2000 lb. To eliminate the problem of the SEAT SLIDING, we provide "Anti-Side" fins for safety. This also prevents pinching. Finally, GJ has added a second SET OF ANCHORS at the front sides of the base to increase protection against movement of the unit from the floor.
