Sorry to hear of your experience, Mulan. We haven't been burgled, but a friend who lives nearby had his electronic equipment stolen, tv, video etc. He claimed on insurance, bought new, and then that was stolen too within a few weeks.

We've been robbed
by Mulan indave and i went grocery shopping today, and after we came home, he noticed the propane tank cover for our rv was on the neighbor's front lawn.
on closer inspection, he discovered someone stole one of the propane tanks..............the full one, of course.
the trailer is only a year old.

i would be at the circuit assembly and, at around 10:45 am, about 8 brothers would get up, walk slowly up the aisle, glancing at each row of their "section", their lips quivering as they silently count each person, trying to maintain focus as nearly each jw makes eye contact them (even though everyone knew what the attendants were doing!
did i want to grow up to be the president of the united states?

My favourite attendant was the one with a concentration problem. He would count half way along the row (mouthing the numbers), then give up and walk away. We would then watch him hand in his imaginary count.

Reestablishing family ties with non-Witnesses
by cyberguy inas most of you folks know, non-witness family members are treated almost the same way as jw's treat disfellowshipped people.
after leaving the borg, fully or partially, has anyone had good results in reestablishing relationships with non-witnesses family relatives?
i've got over a dozen cousins that i'd like to have a relationship with once again, but i'm not sure the best way to break-the-ice.

After 40 years of guarding our associations, and seeking friends only among Jehovah's loyal ones. at the same time avoiding family gatherings - wicked birthday and christmas parties, we are now happily out of the cult, not df'd or da'd. The result - the "loyal ones" are now shunning us, and the worldly family are welcoming us back into the fold as if nothing had happened. There must be a lesson somewhere.
