We've been robbed

  Dave and I went grocery shopping today, and after we came home, he noticed the propane tank cover for our RV was on the neighbor's front lawn. On closer inspection, he discovered someone stole one of the propane tanks..............the full one, of course. The trailer is only a year old.

  So we called the police, filed a report, and notified the insurance company. I guess we are covered for this, but thieves sure have their nerve, stealing like that, in broad daylight. They also either took, or lost the mechanism that fastens the tanks to the trailer. Dave says after we get it fixed, and replaced, he is going to get a cable and lock for it.

  Why is hindsight always 20/20?

  Mulan, sorry to hear that, you have given me the inncentive to add my spare chain lock to my new motorbike, it has an immobiliser but I don't use it Mon - Fri so there's not much hassle for an extra precaution. I have had motorbikes stolen in the past.

  In my apartment building, robers stole 2 garbage cans on wheels.

  They are quite expensive. About 150$ each Canadian

  Now we tie them to the fench with a chain and lock.

  That's too bad Mulan...

  Thats the first thing I did when I got my trailer, put a lock on the tanks! I always bring the battery in too!

  JH ..............We had our garbage dumpster stolen a few weeks ago too. Fortunately the garbage company replaces those.............free. Who would steal a garbage can?

  Sorry to hear that, Mulan. Robbery makes you feel like you've been violated. We were 'done' earlier this year. Much damage. Grrrr!!!!!!!

  That's a shame, Mulan. It doesn't matter how big or how small the item taken is, you feel violated just the same.

  My dad had his boat on a trailer in our driveway years ago. He woke up one morning to find that some jerk stole the motor right off the back of the boat...after that my father didn't have the heart to go out and purchase another motor to have that one stolen too....so he just sold the boat. We had lots of memories tied up with that boat, so we all felt sad to see it go.

  Some people just suck.

  Sorry to hear that. I'm glad that's all they got. It could have been your home they broke into and stole from.
