You, Englishman are the first poster on JWD I met. You very kindly gave a list of pubs you frequent, and as one was nearby, we decided to go and look around, having made up our minds to leave quietly if no one fitted the picture of you I had in my mind. In fact, no one there fitted the bill, and we were about to leave when I approached a group of men and said we were looking for someone who called himself Englishman. No one admitted knowing such a man, however, one did leave the pub. We left shortly thereafter, and as we were walking down the street, there was the man returning, with a companion - yourself! We were still a bit cagey in those days - thanks for helping us so much.

Who Was The Very First Poster That You Met In Real Life?
by Englishman inthe first poster that i ever met was philo.. we'd traded a few stories via the site and i realised that we knew some of the same people down in portsmouth.. he was very cagey as to his real identity, but eventually we shared emails and he told me all about himself.
one day, i took hl down to portsmouth to see my daughter who lives there.
i'd mentioned it in a post, that i was going in that direction.

We've been robbed
by Mulan indave and i went grocery shopping today, and after we came home, he noticed the propane tank cover for our rv was on the neighbor's front lawn.
on closer inspection, he discovered someone stole one of the propane tanks..............the full one, of course.
the trailer is only a year old.

Sorry to hear of your experience, Mulan. We haven't been burgled, but a friend who lives nearby had his electronic equipment stolen, tv, video etc. He claimed on insurance, bought new, and then that was stolen too within a few weeks.

i would be at the circuit assembly and, at around 10:45 am, about 8 brothers would get up, walk slowly up the aisle, glancing at each row of their "section", their lips quivering as they silently count each person, trying to maintain focus as nearly each jw makes eye contact them (even though everyone knew what the attendants were doing!
did i want to grow up to be the president of the united states?

My favourite attendant was the one with a concentration problem. He would count half way along the row (mouthing the numbers), then give up and walk away. We would then watch him hand in his imaginary count.
