Carmel: not any religion in particular, just was thinking about my kids, ya know, maybe that they needed some sort of sprituality. My 10 year old wants to be Morman (all his friend are) I'm thinking............uuuummmm.................NO!!!! I've tried to teach them about some things, but I'm scared alot of my experiences with the Borg may have influenced what I've taught them. Just thinking maybe someone else would be better at it than an X-DUB.

Bogus ways of counting your Field Service Time...
by Confucious inhey guys, .
i'm sure it's been done here before, but a very funny post by blondie spurred this thought.
blondie was saying how one dub would put wt and awake magazines in the rear car window and count time driving too and fro...

My all time favorite.......RURAL TERRITORY!!!!! For those of us that were lucky enough to have rural territory, all you needed was simi-fun "car group" and you spend the next 6-8 hours driving around in the sticks, knock on 3 doors, talk to 1 person............. Turn in 8hours! hehehehe

I went before a JC when I was 15 for having hickies, those sicko's wanted to know every juciy detail! Am I the only one who finds that weird? Then "they" proceeded to have me read some scripture about a "harlot" on the corner laying in wait. I find the whole process very disturbing. God will be my judge!

Not Baptized but still Shunned
by Devils Advocate inwas wondering what the offical rule is from the wt on family members who were never baptized but left the cult.
an example would be a child who is raised in the lie and then as a teenager stops attengind meetings and tells his/her parents "i won't ever be a jw.
" true to his/her word, that teenager grows up outside the cult.

Scully, You had the same kind of thoughts I did!! I am exploring all types of spirituality. There are just so many things about the JW religion that are ingrained in my head.

I've never used a forum before so I'm learning as I go. You guys are the greatest, with your help I've learned to laugh at things, that in the past would make me cry.

I've been reading these forums for about a week before I got the nerve to post a reply. So here it goes..... I was raised a dub from age 4 (when my mom married a JW) to age 16 when I moved out (or should I say "RAN" out) My new Step-father was physically Abusive and a control freak. My early teen years were resticted to meetings and school. When I left home I did not end up a preg. drug addict. Although I did marry the first boy who looked my way and spent the next 10 years with a drunk, abusive husband. After a long walk on the road to self discovery, I have found myself. I'm currently in a loving heathly relationship with the man of my dreams. And he's not JW.....who would have thought!! I have 3 teenaged sons and live vicariously through them.
You are all a wonderful support to each other, keep up the good work!
