I often wonder why everyone argues about such things. Does it really matter if Christ was created or not? Does it affect your spiritual wellbeing? If it does, then I have to ask WHY? I see the Bible as a guideline for living a good life. I am a disfellowshipped JW who continues to live by the morals layed down in the Bible. If everyone did that, wouldn't we all be better off?

Was Jesus Created?
by 9thWonder inwas jesus created?
this question came out of a discussion i was having with a preacher of a no-denominational church.
he was trying to convince me of the truth of the trinity doctrine.

Just go out and do all the stuff you wanted to do and couldn't, and I don't mean adultery, alcoholism and drugs - just have a bit of fun with 'worldly people'. You'll discover that they aren't as bad as the WTS make out. Most are just nice people trying to make the best of life. Have a look around other religions if you want. You'll discover that they are all a bit off-track, except for Buddhists, that is. If I wanted to be part of a religion (which I don't) - that would be it. Have a good life!

What Qualities Did You Find Most Attractive In The Jehovah's Witnesses???
by minimus inone thing i took pride in as a witnesss was that we knew our bible.
we could talk to any clergymen and smugly decimate them with our knowledge of the "truth".

I do feel I have gained some benefit from the JW experience. They teach you morals at least (I mean the difference between right and wrong)! I have also found it very easy to perform presentations and give talks in front of a room of people thanks to the Theocratic Ministry School. Secularly - most useful. It's just the spiritual side I find difficult to accept!

JWs Live In Their Own Little World
by minimus inone thing i'm convinced of is that jws live in their own little bubble.
the world could be in chaos around them but not missing a meeting is what's most important.
children of jws could be going thru teenage trauma or even molestation, but are they getting their "time" in??

A JW couple I used to know have had terrible misfortune! Graham suffers from paralysing arthritis and Yvette's health is very poor, including intestinal cancer leading to a colostomy and several bouts of hepititus B. Their son, Nathan died at 18 from A-plasmic anaemia (which could have been cured with a blood transfusion) and I have just learned that their daughter Sheree was recently involved in a car accident leaving her with permanent brain damage. My heart is in mourning for them. Still they follow the JW ways. They are SURE that all their troubles will be over when the new system arrives and they will see their son again and their daughter will return to her former health. I feel the WT organisation has a lot to answer for. They lead good, kind hearted people to believe in total lies! Shame on them!

I sat in the row behind Hank Marvin (The Shadows) at a convention in Twickenham, London. He was not keen to talk about anything except the dubs though. I really wanted to ask him about his music but was prevented by my parents! Bores!

I was named after an British secret agent who's TV series has long since been discontinued. I think my parents did too much acid in the 60's!
