Hi Guys, I am a religion student doing a research project on the doctrines of jehovahs witnesses and so far I have not been able to get any information from anyone, and I dont want to go to the anti-JW web sites to get it so if there is anyone who can help I would very much appreciate your help to get a well balanced view on the JW's the questions are as follows:
- what is the JW view on the state of the dead
- how do you view hell
- how is baptism seen and what role does it fulfil
- how does one repent and to whom do they confess
- how does one receive forgiveness and from whom
- is salvation by grace or good works - is it received by faith
- how does one become a Christian
- how do JW's view the gospel
- how is one saved
- do the JW's believe once saved always saved - if not what is your understanding
- can you be saved and not be a JW
- is salvation through the free gift of grace of god which can never be earned
- how do you know that you are saved, how do you know you have assurance in your salvation
- what did Jesus achieve during his ministry on this world
- what did Jesus achieve at the cross
- who is Jesus if he is not god and part of the trinity
- do you practice the lords supper and and foot washing in memorial to what Jesus did - if not why not
- what are the key salvational doctrines of the JW's
- if Jesus is not god and he died for our sins - how can our sins be forgiven if he is only an angel a created being
- do you believe in satan and how is sin and temptation conquered
