You know what, I had almost decided to just keep my mouth shut but then this post pops up.
I'll be honest with you my friends, I'm not 100% sure of Danni's saga now even tho I did post supporting her. Chalk that one up to eternal optimism and typing before thinking.
Now I don't want to start a fight and get flamed by people saying I'm calling her a liar. All I'm saying is that there are too many things that make a little red light flash in my head. This story just plays too hard on our feelings towards the WTBTS. Then this particular thread comes up from an actual eyewitness to the incident. Sorry but mymy's post just serves to sound my suspicion alarm even louder.
My personal theory is that this will end up being a cruel hoax perpetrated by one of the regs here. Or maybe a newbie who's got the drop on us. Either way, approach with caution folks.
Just my thoughts. Flame away.

it would have taken more much more time to tell it all.
he told us the meeting would began as soon as the other brothers arrived.
danni: i will give you two.
I think I'm in love....and she carries handcuffs TOO?!!!
Seriously, tho. Danni, what you did was nothing short of heroic in my book. Since you're not a jw or x-jw, I really doubt you realize the full impact of your meeting.
This speakerphone thing has me thinking. For it to be on and someone listening to the conversation without you being told beforehand is a little in the legal gray area don't you think? That's good food for thought for others reading this thread. How many times have elders' meetings been monitored like this without the knowledge of all parties involved? (Note to Silentlambs, that's something to think about)
I really really really really hope that this meeting got taped! I know you can't say on the board if you did or not.
I'm glad to have you here, Danni!

on the way home from a function last night, an old song from the 80's came on the radio.....flashback time.. dad: you can not listen to that song!.
sister: why not dad?.
dad: because it is like the society says!
Jolly Green Giant, I remember that case. Judas Priest got sued by a family whose child had committed suicide if I recall. Rob Halford did a good job of debunking "backwards-masking" by taking various Priest recordings and playing them backwards for the court and then pointing out phrases that seemed to show up. I don't know how that case turned out, only caught parts of it on MTV.
Mike, (spelled backwards and pronounced phonetically makes no sense)

my path needs to be revamped.. i do plan to have a serious discussion with elders and attend the kingdom hall.
where that will lead, time will tell.. i am not leaving mitch.
even if i did become a jehovah's witness and celibate again he would love me just the same and i him.. you cannot become ungay.
Dear Joel:
I support your decision, though I don't agree with it. I told you in my last email-and I'll repeat it here-that the path I see you going down holds only pain and sadness for you. You've got my email and my phone # if you ever need a shoulder.
With hope,
Mike.

yesterday evening i journeyed into darkest somerset to give a prospective client a quotation for a fitted bedroom.
i juiced up at tesco's and zoomed off towards rural badgeworth.
while i was drawing up my designs with my customer, my mobile phone burst into life, playing "the sting" theme, which meant that this was an uknown caller to me.
Abaddon, I have to disagree with your post.
"Basically, if I was American, I would swap my right to bear arms for the firearm fatality rate of England, but the horse has not only bolted in the 'States, it's gone and bought way too many guns to ever bolt the stable door again, unless you sent the army round, which would have the NRA creaming themselves in delight, saying "I told yuh we needed guns so we could resist when Uncle Sam came to take our guns away! Open fire!!" But I'm sure if I was bought up with guns a part of life, as many Americans are, I would share their mindset."
Obviously you are not from America. I respect your right not to bear arms but I ask that you respect our right to bear them. True, there are too many guns "on the street". But I'll put it to you this way:
Three times in my life I have had to draw my gun on someone. Two of those times I could have been injured or killed if I were not armed.
Thankfully, I didn't have to pull the trigger.
So when the gangs, burglars, carjackers, and all the other wrongdoers disarm I will gladly hand over my guns.

Englishman, that is too funny! Should have been a Monty Python sketch, like Eric Idle's "I'm Sorry Murder Trial". In fact, I'm visualizing you doing a pretty good Eric Idle "I'm awfully sorry" bit while reading the post. You hear the expression all the time "only in America", but your post rings with "Only in England!".
I take it from the posts here that most English police don't carry. I had read an article sometime back that said that now most do. Oh and by the way, you mentioned guards at the airports carrying machine guns. Actually, they carry submachine guns. Or as the current term goes "assault weapons". Just thought I'd point that out as I go on to post a reply to Abaddon.

i know i said i wouldn't post here again because of the way i made everyone upset over alanf, but i thought you all might want to know what took place and i do need some advice.. .
yesterday i took a little time out to talk with jehovah's witnesses.
at first they were more than happy to answer my questions.
Danni:
We all know the law on taping conversations. However, how many times have you seen network news programs do their "hidden camera" bits? My advice, tape it regardless of the law. There's always ways to get a good recording and transcripts out anonymously. I'm sure many here would be glad to help....

in all the time i was in the witnesses, i too was taught that the "creative days" of genesis were 7000 years long.
what is the scriptural evidence supporting that?.
in the bible, it also says that to god a 1000 years is a day.

In the Bible, it also says that to God a 1000 years is a day. Therefore if taking everything in the bible literally, then God changed to a new model of clock after creation.
That the earth and all living things were created in only 42,000 years goes against everything known by modern science. It seems as though the Witnesses pick and choose what passages in the Bible to take literally and what to take figuratively. The "7000-year-day" theory only works to support their "end-is-near" predictions, specifically the 1975 [we didn't say THAT!] prophecy.
