  X-FILES Final Episode

  ok, i just watched the final episode of the x-files!

  who else is disappointed?

  does this mean that dana and mulder are christians now?

  I was a little let-down myself.
  The only saving point for the series imo was that Mulder and Scully finally hooked up.
  (who didn't see THAT coming?!)
  To me, the definitive episode of the whole series was "Memoirs of a Cigarette-Smoking Man". Chris Carter should have saved that one for the end and combined it with Mulder's trial.
  Oh well, at least they came out and admitted Mulder had been drilling Scully. Yes Mulan, there's a little Mulder Jr. out there!

  Now I gotta find something else to watch on Sundays after The Simpsons.

  angharad has abandoned me and gone on a girls night out!.

  to cut a long story short - i'm starving to death and the end may be only minutes away .... there is a large white box in a place called "kitchen" (hey, it lights up when you open the door!

  ) and apparently this can be used with a "noven" or "micro-drive" (or was it "wave"?

  Post Dateline Defense

  here's what i'm hearing:.

  the dateline show is beating a dead horse brought up by malcontents.. it brings up a dead issue because the society is sending out.

  letters in child abuse cases to go to the police - in individual.

  Maybe I'm just being optimistic, but I think that there will be more of a reaction than many predict.
  I agree that the majority will blow it off as "persecution" and "apostate attacks". But this program has great potential to reach a large minority of the Empire.
  Let's think about the present state of the Witnesses. It's been posted here time and again about zero or near-zero growth. They've lowered the hour quotas for pioneers and started accepting less than an hour of service for a month. Their next generation is for the most part Witnesses in name only, look at how many are "leading double lives".
  The segment of the Empire that this program most needs to reach is the one most likely to watch. Consider the statistics Amazing provided a while back of how many pedophiles there could be in the Empire. Assuming that the actual number of molesters is even 50 or 60% of Amazing's estimate, that still gives a sizeable number of Witnesses who were/are victims or who know of or have heard of such a situation. Then we have to consider the congregation elders. Despite warnings from Brooklyn, it's pretty reasonable to expect that a large number of elders will watch the program. Again considering Amazing's statistics, there's going to be some who have dealt with molestation cases or know about them.
  We can rest assured that not all discussion of the Dateline program will be limited to blowing it off. The real question is what will be the internal reaction from Brooklyn? We can probably expect to see anyone who talks about the issue to be treated as apostates. Without a doubt there will be quite a few Watchtower Study articles about apostasy and they're gonna be pretty harsh stuff. Not unlikely to expect a Special Talk or two.
  The public will definitely react. Look for literature placements [sales] to drop noticeably. More than likely, field service hours will go down as well. Dubs should expect some Service Meeting parts designed to train them to deal with this issue at the door.
  It may not have the effect of dealing a death-blow, but there will be a noticeable effect nonetheless.

  omg..... i was watching tv and there is a new video out and its about las vegas bums/homeless people.

  these guys go out and pay homeless people to do stupid things like fight with each other, jump into garbage bins, set their hair on fire.

  there was even a spoof on the alligator guy who wrestles them (the guy from australia).

  Elsewhere, I was gonna throw that one out myself. Looks like you beat me to the punch.
  Let me correct one glaring error, though. The Nuwabian compount IS NOT IN MACON!!!! It's in Putnam County, a fairly good distance away.
  While I'm sorry for the kids, I laughed my ass off when I read the news when the story broke this week. This York guy and those weirdos have been nothing but troublemakers for Putnam County since day one. Constant zoning and other violations, and every time the Sheriff calls them on it they start this cry-baby routine about being persecuted. Now York is busted big time and it ain't just the local law either.

  Not a *real* bike Cass. I gave up riding a few years ago.
  This is my only outlet now.
  It's a 1:5 scale Thunder Tiger FM-1e radio-control electric motorcycle. Aluminum frame, lexan body, and pretty fast.
  Here's a pic "clothed" but she's soon going to get a custom paint job (pearl black with pearl clear-coat) and shiny polished aluminum rims.

  Cassiline, thanks for the history lesson but as a Southerner I find a special meaning in merging the Rebel Flag with the Lamb logo.
  I sincerely hope that no one here takes offense at the artwork (elementary as it may be). It in no way was intended to have any racist meaning.
  I've worked for pretty near a week on the two images you see and tonight I finished the second image, with the blue bars wrapped around the lamb.
  I decided on the controversial [to some] Rebel Flag because what Bill is doing is exactly that, a very controversial rebellion.
