plans are to soon have shipments of nuclear waste to cross through many of our nation's cities to reach their dumpsite destinations.
i really don't care for the idea.
how do you feel about it?
.5 miles when I checked. Also, it didn't say exactly where on the map. The map itself didn't look right for that matter.
Sorry, I've got more real threats to worry about.
Mike, who reminds you that a little nukie never hurt anyone.
does anyone own a watch dog, paticularly a doberman pinscher?
some on this board know i love animals and i lost my bingo cat last year.
i really loved him to death but i have to admit that when it came to giving affection...forget it.
Trot, don't rule out firearms. I take it you love animals as much as I do. Can you look into those soulful eyes of a family dog and ask him to lay his life down to protect you?
Get a gun and learn to use it. That's your dog. It barks here and bites over there.
Mike.
i will spare you all the gory details until she is ready to post them.
my mom (mulan) is having trouble with my grandma again.
looks like this time she has finally burned her last available bridge and will be moving out.
Mulan,

Your mom will always be your mom and she will always love you, no matter what happens due to her age.
Love for you and your mom,

Awhile back I posted about my radio-controlled motorcycle. She's still running strong and has survived some pretty rough crashes. Now I'm working on making her a hardtail chopper. I collapsed and secured the rear shock which lowered the rear end and plants the rear tire as firmly as possible and adjusted the front fork angle as far as I could and am on my way to a whoa-daddy bike. Now when I launch the bike at full throttle (and fresh battery pack) she lays a black mark for about a foot or so.
Here's the pic.

in response to amac's question i have provided some details below.
This case itself should make for some mind-opening material to be presented to dubs. It's doubtful that any outside of the local Calgary area even know about the case.
All these years I had believed that the Empire's blood prohibition was an absolute. I never knew there were so many "sub-rules" that allowed this or that component of blood but not some other. I'd be interested in knowing how they came up with these rules that the rank-and-file know nothing about.
Matthew 23:34 could not apply better! Their extreme and conflicting legal system will be their own undoing.
My prayers are with Bethany. Any who have contact, please wish her well.

i was laying in bed last night thinking how lucky i am that i havent had to undergo the mental torture of attending the district convention.
then i started reminiscing about the old days and i suddenly remembered those ridiculous tickets you had to buy to pay for food.
they were those brown cheap cardboard type efforts with i think 10 tickets per sheet.
I'm suprised that there is no food service at conventions anymore. The light must have gotten brighter blinked on that one after I got fired in '92. And in spite of that, they actually discourage going out to eat during intermissions? That's low even for them!

tuning in to a deep sea monster.
london, england --scientists have revealed a mysterious recording that they say could be the sound of a giant beast lurking in the depths of the ocean.. researchers have nicknamed the strange unidentified sound picked up by undersea microphones "bloop.".
while it bears the varying frequency hallmark of marine animals, it is far more powerful than the calls made by any creature known on earth, britain's new scientist reported on thursday.. it is too big for a whale and one theory is that it is a deep sea monster, possibly a many-tentacled giant squid.. in 1997, bloop was detected by u.s. navy "spy" sensors 3,000 miles apart that had been put there to detect the movement of soviet submarines, the magazine reports.. the frequency of the sound meant it had to be much louder than any recognised animal noise, including that produced by the largest whales.. so is it a huge octopus?
Nobody really knows exactly what's down in the depths of the oceans. Check out the books The Trench and Meg by Steve Alten. Kind of like Jaws meets a dumbed-down Steven King, but worth reading still the same.

I don't always pick up pennies I see on the ground, but my luck is pretty good anyway. Now other change I do pick up, since I am a "change-saver". Know what I do hate finding on the ground? Those business cards "accidentally" dropped by someone wanting to do some cheap advertising. One side of the business card is printed with a portion of a dollar bill (or a ten or twenty) and the other side is the business card.
It's funny the things you will find if you just take the time to pay attention to everything around you especially the ground. Next time you're in your yard look closely at the ground. I bet some of you will find a marble or even two or more. (not sure if there's any good luck associated with that tho) I used to find them all the time while I worked for my dad in lawn care years ago. This was in yards belonging to old folks who hadn't had kids playing in the yard for years.

just a quick question.
anyone have a reference in the kingdom ministry where the society suggested a donation [i think it was $60.00] for the cd roms?
Some very good points raised. I'd like to see the actual cost of producing a cd-rom such as the ones offered by the WTS. It can't be so high that they'd encourage a "donation" of $50-100.
I too remember when magazines were 25 cents and books I think were a dollar or maybe a little more. Anyone got any old price lists?
Mike.
