  Venting *#&(#*!

  i'm getting that religious people realllly get on my nerves - no matter how "well meaning" they are.

  i read in one of the posts some advice to the newly "ex'd" and i appreciated it, especially the point how other's may want to "save" you now that you've left your religion.. get this... i work with 2 born-agains and my boss is a mormon.

  they've all made some comments about that "i shouldn't let this experience destroy my faith in jesus" (tolerable, assuming i believed in him) however, one co-worker has a new zeal for her born-again faith and has raised many topics with me because she respects my opinion.

  Tasha, God lets it rain on the righteous and the unrighteous, or so I paraphrase the scripture but you get the gist I hope. It's pretty selfish and downright illogical to believe that whenever you hit a stroke of luck that God is blessing you personally. And that goes both ways. When I was in the Empire there were times when I had some difficulties, mainly personal difficulties with a couple of harassing elders, and was told "Jehovah is testing you".

  Either way it's B.S. Either way, it removes personal responsibility and provides the excuse/explanation that all that happens both good or bad is beyond our control. If something good happens to you, lucky lottery ticket or big raise and promotion at work, you made it happen. You bought that lottery ticket. You worked hard and earned that promotion and raise. God didn't give you the reward. He only gave you the ability to earn that reward. Same as with something bad happening. God didn't make it happen. He's not punishing you for some insignificant human error. The bad that happens is either of your own making or some other human's making in the case of bad things that come out of nowhere like getting hit by a drunk driver or something.

  i have been smoking off and on for over a year,,,,,,,never smoked before this year in my life.. it all started just for the hell of it.

  then as my hub and i started going out dancing and hitting the town, cig smoke was everywhere.

  i would comehome with it in my hair and all over my clothes.

  I've been smoking since 19. Can't tell you exactly why I lit up that first Marlboro Red but I did. Probably rebellion against the dub life I guess.

  I don't smoke all day long. Most smokers light up as soon as they get out of bed. I used to smoke first thing in the morning until one day I woke up and didn't feel like one until sometime after lunch and it's been that way ever since. I guess that's a good thing. I haven't chosen to quit yet because I really do enjoy smoking. Skip the lectures folks cause I've heard them all. I do want to cut down. Wait until later in the day to smoke, go a day here and there without, things like that. One day that may lead to becoming a non-smoker or at least smoking only a few cigarettes a week or even a month. Can't give up tobacco totally though. I love the occasional cigar. Arturo Fuentes are my favorite, second only to the Cuban cigar I had a few years ago.

  Since it's Halloween....

  thought i'd share a picture with y'all.

  i took it at a historic cemetary near where i live.

  i didn't even think much of it until a friend of mine saw it and freaked out.

  Thought I'd share a picture with y'all. I took it at a historic cemetary near where I live. I didn't even think much of it until a friend of mine saw it and freaked out. Then I started to think it was unusual too. These two graves are unique in that they are the only two in the whole cemetary with black iron covers and there are no names or any writing at all. I'm not saying the blurs are ghosts or spirits but they are unusual. The camera lens wasn't smudged. There were no blurs on any of the other pics I shot that day.

  Happy Halloween - Another Ghost Story.

  ok, every family has at least one ghost story and heres the one that our family always told.. my grandfather was an officer in the dutch army and he, along with his family lived in indonesia (a dutch colony at the time).

  evidently spiritism is really big down there among the indonesians.

  anyway, my grandfather,along with a few of his army buddies, are making their way through a village.

  what, according to the wts, is greedy - because i've just read from the latest tablet on watchtowerinformationservice that they should .

  "quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person" .

  so what's with a greedy person - who's that - a person in a roller who runs over cripples - or someone who doesn't run after thieves to give them a cloak that they could well do with ?

  Sabine your post reminds me of a funny story. We were in field service one day, my mom, my brother and I, a black sister, and an elderly white sister (Norma Skwarlo, some of you know her). Way out in a rural territory in Georgia and we stopped at this run-down shack. Kind of like something you'd see in "Deliverance". A white lady came out of the door as we drove up and the white sister blurted out "Oh! White people live here!".

  I understand what you are saying. Black folks like a clean house just like anyone else does.

  I like snakes, though I will kill a poisonous one if I see it, but I absolutely hate spiders. Ozzie, your story reminds me of my own little visitor a couple of weeks ago. There'd been this orb weaver spider outside my bathroom window for a while and I just left it alone. Every morning it would have a web up in the windowframe. One morning the web wasn't there. When I was leaving for work I opened the door and was about to walk outside and it was still dark outside so I almost didn't see it. Luckily the streetlight in the parking lot caught the web and I saw it just in time. The little bastard had gotten ambitious the night before and built a web that covered my apartment's doorway. I would have ended up with that....thing....in my face had I walked into the web. Needless to say, there's one less spider in the world now.

  as most of you probably know, there were 200 refugees from haiti that made it to us soil earlier today.

  however, it seems that these people will most likely be forced to go back to haiti.

  i was stunned.

  Okay dickhead, please explain the method of how Haitians are to get their Visas via NOT U.S. method, but by there own country? Meaning, there's a 2 way street on this moron. You explain it, please....oh please! EXPLAIN how it works. Bet your ignorant ass doesn't even know, does it. You research it, and come back here and tell everyone how it REALLY works. Tell everybody here why these people ( here is a HINT for you dunce ) FLEE FLEE FLEE their country and come to the U.S.

  I don't need to research how to legally enter this country D8TA, I'm a LEGAL taxpaying citizen. The responsibility is on the Haitian who wants to come here. If they want to come here legally they will find out how if they try hard enough. And that's the key. Try hard enough. Work at it! They chose to try and sneak in instead. Yes I know they were FLEEING a shithole of a country however the conditions in Haiti do not constitute an entitlement to bypass immigration laws. They certainly can request asylum and are entitled to a fair hearing on that request.

  As far as your other remarks about them taking my job or trampling my lawn, well as a matter of fact they do indeed pose an economic threat. They're not just going to go to work and become productive citizens immediately are they? They'll have to get educations, their kids will have to go to our public schools, they'll need housing food and health care. Who's going to pay for that until they get jobs? Assuming that all of them who are able actually get jobs at all. They trample immigration laws in the mud on their way in and us taxpayers foot the bill. Meanwhile a few blocks away from you or me some AMERICAN kid in the projects goes to bed hungry because his mom has no money for groceries. Who's the dickhead here?!

  when you were getting fed up with meetings before you gave up, was there anything you did to deliberately get on the brothers nerves?.

  i turned up to a meeting once with jeans on, and a red top with cccp on it with the 'hammer and sickle'.

  i also went to another bs group a few times so that if i wasnt at one group they'd think i was at the other and vice versa.

  All I had to do to piss the brothers (and sisters) off was just be there.

  Francois, you forgot to mention something about C. B. Mitchell. Do I need to remind you what it is?

  I pissed C. B. off once. (maybe I've told this one before so forgive me if I have)

  I used to make coffee at the conventions in Macon. I inherited the job when I was like 14 or 15 from my uncle and basically was in charge of coffee at the conventions. One convention rolls around when I was 16 and C. B. was in charge of food service. He calls me and my folks up before the convention and wants me to come in to the facility the night before the convention during setup so I could get the coffee maker ready and also make coffee for the crew setting up the stage and all. I always had to go in early to prep the machine before conventions because the facility's staff never cleaned it and it was always trashed. But this time I was asked to go in the night before. So he drives down and picks me up, drops me off at the Macon Coliseum, and leaves. I get the "coffee dept" ready to roll, make a pot (that's about 5 gallons) for the setup crew, and then wait. The setup crew doesn't want coffee or even acknowledge me. In fact eventually they all leave and I'm there by myself. I finally call my mom and dad and tell them what's going on. My dad calls an elder friend who lived close to the Coliseum and Benny picks me up at like 3 or 4 in the morning and I crash on his couch for a few hours before the convention. Then I get up and get in there and start making coffee for the thousands of caffeine-starved dubs. (Benny McClain was a great guy, I really appreciate him doing that)

  At the convention that day my dad pulled C. B. Mitchell to the side and tore him a new asshole for leaving me alone like that. That didn't sit well with C. B. at all. C. B. and the other food service "heavies" who used to love me to pieces suddenly hated my guts. They even had a "meeting" with me right at the table beside the platform during a lunch break about my "attitude" and I lost my "privilege" of making coffee.

  Drugs/family question

  i've got a question for you and just want to see how other people would have acted.

  this story is not about me, of course, because i'm jesus and all but instead involves this guy that i know and will be writing from his point of view.

  my wife's family is mostly great and i get along with them wonderfuly and always have.

  Your wife did the right thing and now both of you need to follow through and protect the young girl. This punk's "girlfriend" shouldn't be allowed anywhere near him! The kid raised a hand against his own momma for cryin' out loud! You and your wife get that girl away from him right now!

  Beat up his own momma. Jesus Christ! What the hell are you even asking us for?! Go make sure that boy gets the shit beat out of him and knows why!
