Please forgive me...!!
by ELON14 ini'm new here and this is the first post i make (i promise that more will come).
i have been following most of the posts made here quietly for about 4 months and i would like to thank all of you who are called apostates for the well documented and researched material you have presented here.thanks to you i know now the truth about the wt organization and i'm no longer blind and misled.
i disassociated myself about 2 months ago after 15 years of very "faithful" service to the society.i was regular pioneer for 12 years and an elder for 8 years, i served mainly as the service overeer.my experience was published in the 2 of the society's magazins.. as i was a very zealous and prominent elder in my circuit i zealously promoted the organizational rules and i allowed myself to be fully used by the society to promote those mind controle techniques that now i know hurt those who were my sheep.

Wait until you hear this
by jeannie ini called info today and asked for the number for the wt in brooklyn...and sure enough..the info operator said they are no longer listed..she thought it was very strange since she gave out this number many times..and cynthia also told me they arent on the internet either....anyway this is me (cosurvivor) jeannie..i am pooped!!!
what a week...the march was great..the people wonderful...the new friendships amazing...larry thanks so much for the pix and for helping me get the permits...i had a great time at the hotel and didnt want to leave..i loved hooking up with ericka and her mom..laurie..cynthia..pat..sherry..and of course the anderson, pandellos and the bowens...received a call over the weekend while i was away..(left the day after the march) one of the supporters and mother of a survivor..was visited by the elders here in ny..i will have to call her tonight since she is working now..will let you all know what happened...to all the girls and ttboy..and others..i miss you all !!!

Bethel uses a switchboard with the 560-5600 number which is not answered after 9 PM. Individual Bethelites can have their own direct line if they pay for it.

by hillary_step inthe allegations of sexual abuse against at least one child and subsequent attempts to cover over the crime made against theodore jarcacz are extremely serious.
they have of course, yet to be proved one way or the other and theo jaracz has the right of proper representation both outside and within the walls of the wt, and should be allowed to defend himself against these accusations.
many persons who have in the past been accused of 'gross sins' become victim of an investigation by elders.

Due to the confidential nature of these investigations WT would have no comment whatsoever on any investigation. If they were to do this it would open the doors to many a lawsuit.

Aren't the elders supposed to visit df'd ones?
by buffy inmaybe someone can answer this.
i thought that elders made it a point to visit df'd ones like 1 a year to see if they've thought about coming back, etc.
don't get me wrong, i'm happy they haven't come to see me.

The elders will officially visit a person viewed as "inclined" toward returning. Maybe they have attended meetings. They will view a person as "unqualified" for a visit if they are still engaging in practices that led to their disfellowshipping. I believe an announcement is made in the KM as a reminder.

new TMS talks... i think i am going to....

This may be a result of no-shows because of not knowing how to develop a talk or to encourage new ones to join the TMS. But if you drop out of the school you won't be reading the WT on Sundays anymore.

I heard a story once that Damon was at a circuit assembly when J.C. Howard was on the platform saying how Damon was in the audience and didn't know what he wanted to be. At that point, the story goes Damon got up and left.

In the US growth in the English field has stopped. The congs. are getting older. The younger ones are either leaving, being D/F or living double lives. If it weren't for growth in the Spanish and other language fields there would be a steep decline. In my old hall one congregation was disbanded and if that CO were still there only one English congregation would remain. Between the two congs. about a half of the pubs. were either Bethelites or sisters who had moved here to go to Bethel or marry a Bethelite.
The time may come where JW's will no longer be viewed as a U.S. religion.
If the letter went out the gossiping would still go on, only in individual homes instead of F/S.
