10 years ago, the first time, it was all about playing and partying. Everything " Forbidden". I didn't feel to bad about it then.
This time, its about spirituality which of course brought up more guilt then anything else i had tried. Its so refreshing to find something that fits your soul that doesn't sufficate, that makes you appreciate life. I

Were You Ever a Victim of Jealousy?
by compound complex indear friends,.
despite our noble intentions and the hope that we'll behave ourselves, we are downright human.
i just saw beaches again last night (bought the used tape for four bucks) and was reminded how that evil, green-eyed monster can destroy the best of relationships.

Hi, well in and out of the troof........
In it some of the girls who were still single at the OLD AGE of 26 would exclude me when the precious much desired bethelites came into town, which to me is jealousy when you have to be rude to someone when you see them as a threat. I just remember them inviting others to parties in front of me at the hall, and how much it hurt my feelings. I guess I was jealous that i wasnt included!!
And since ive been out one of my longtime friends let me know that my successes make her resentful. weather it was my BF a couple of years ago, coming child career eetc. That must suck, my life is finally coming together and it burns her to watch, time to cut the ties? I get jealous of people who look like they have it all together all the time, then i remind myself that actually no one does so get over it!!

hi, not at all. I love talking to my friends about JWS beliefs and they ALL laugh about the holidays because everyone knows that Jesus wasnt born on dec 25th, its really that know one cares.
Its all about tradition and friends and family for the holidays. I liked how someone here said that witnesses are all about taking the joy out of everything, They overanalyze EVERYTHING. Its amazing that the only thing they celebrate is anniversarys........procreation!!!!!

Should I just say no?
by hambeak inmy partners brother is being released from state prison on 12/7 and jake has to go to huntsville to pick him up.
i am cooking a big thanksgiving dinner and his mom wants me to duplicate it when the a**hole gets home and cook a big dinner for x-mas too.
i get 1 day off a week and i am starting to resent being the fricking maid.

oh, also you could take him to a homeless shelter where they give out free
thanksgiving dinners,
and halfway throught the meal whisper in his ear that this is where he might be lucky enough to be next year if he keeps up with his drinking. :)

why should you have to be involved? I would say that you are
busy that night, or that you really don't have the energy to cook another huge meal. my partners sister call me to go hang out with there aging alcoholic father, and I'm like why don't you get off of it and go see him yourself? Sometimes when you are a nice person you give an inch and they want a mile.

Has anyone gotten a restraining order on elders??
by mzliz inhere's the story,.
been "inactive" for 2.5 years.from that day forward my elder brother, sister and parents have treated me as an apostate, seeing how i told them i didn't believe in their bible or god.
i have been exluded from everything but since getting pregnant, my parents now want to be part of the babies life (just to "save" the child i'm sure, but thats what monitors are for).

Blondie, thanks for all of your help and info.
I have saved the one note they left. I have 3 witnesses (the good kind) who have heard me ask them to leave me alone on 3 different phone conversations. I have my phone bill showing how they were calling me almost every day. I have caller ID, and recently answered them a few times to tell them to back off.
My BF told them I would write them a letter and get it certified, seeing how the elder wouldn't take his word for it. They acted like this was news to them. I was very clear in my asking to be left alone! is it just me, but i feel like its because I'm a woman and they don't respect us. They listened to my BF. BELIEVE me, I'm not a soft spoken gal!!
Sorry Blondie, my approach is the baseball bat. We will see what happens with them after they get this letter, sending it out tomorrow. If they persist they will absolutely see me in court.
