greetings from tennessee.
thank you for your inquiries regarding the barbara anderson vs. watchtower tennessee appellate court hearing, which took place on thursday, april 14, 2005. accompanied by steve and joy imhof, from panama city beach, florida, and our attorney, jerre hood, from winchester, tennessee, we drove to nashville to attend the 1:00 p.m. scheduled appellate hearing.
this hearing was requested last year by defendants in the case, and they are: the numerous corporations of watchtower bible and tract society; watchtower spokespersons, j. r. brown, and david semonian, and certain elders of the manchester, tn congregation of jws.
Thank you, Barbara, for the update and your courage.

i know this might seem like a big laughable joke, but i was wondering what will happen when all of the gb members die off or get too old to continue as gb members?
will they start to pick jw women who claim to be of the annoited and or old enough to be alive during 1935?
evidently the chosen will get too old to carry on and there will be "new light" to say that young jw can be of the annointed and gb.
I know this might seem like a big laughable joke
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
ROFLMAO!!!!
you're right about that!

just wondering if any of you experienced what i did years ago when i was reinstated.
although people were excited about my reinstatement and said things like "welcome home", i could tell when i would see people i used to be close to--that they still treated me differently, almost like i had a disease or something.
maybe it's because i was married to a non-jw and had a baby by then?.
yes and yes!
started to study in 71
baptized in 72
df 78-79
df 85-86
faded starting 99
last memorial 2000
or thereabouts
coulda, shoulda, woulda, oh well.........

i've been lurking here for a while, so i figured it's time for me to introduce myself.
i was raised in "the truth".
both of my parents were witnesses, and so were their parents.
Welcome Bitca and Skyman!
it seems that few are aware of it, but the whole talk here is posted.. http://e-jehovahs-witnesses.com/viewtopic.php?t=2337&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=45.
seems like holland is having problems with jw authority.. thought i'd paste a few comments from the board before pasting the talk, so you can get an idea of what is happening.... --------------------------.
thanks for the update from holland.
When we find Peace, it must be Jehovah?s organisation.
hhhmmmmmmmmmmmm....gonna think on that for a while............
Please notice that the shepherd sits upon the cherubs. The cherubs are special servants who are upholding Jehovah?s sovereignty. Why is this also applicable to us here on earth? Because in Jehovah?s organisation we have to reflect this too. Overseers are also upholding Jehovah?s sovereignty. This also means that they have to see to it that persons who aren?t upholding Jehovah?s sovereignty are kept outside the congregation.
is it a language deal here or is this just another incoherent and disconnected piece of bs? the "please notice that the shepherd sits upon the cherubs" sentence left me hanging....what fun they have with words.
once again it's off to the Old Testament for an analogy that has no basis in anything but their own minds...spin, spin, spin..........
trudy
did you ever dream that you'd be posting here too?
Nope! It's a freakin miracle!
looks like everyone missed it.
i will clue everyone in.
first, in the way of history, the wtbts got linked up with the un as an ngo (non-governmental organization).to do so, the watchtower had to conform to the rules.
wow! It is just like toto pulling the curtain aside.............looking at the wizard on the screen and seeing the man behind the curtain. as a witness you could never see these connections because we only ever knew one side. now it seems all so transparent......
trudy
it is a fact, that the watchtower have relegated jesus christ to "just another servant of jehovah.
got a copy of "the greatest man who ever lived" book?
the only book they publish dedicated to jesus, doesn't even have his name on it.
yup yup yup - it's ALWAYS an old testament example. Now that I've been away long enough I can see that so clearly and wonder - WTF????
trudy
.
jws are always being reminded that you "could" stumble someone.
you had to continuously question yourself about possibly offending another (weak) christian's conscience.....were you always worried that you were going to get into trouble because you might've screwed up somehow??.
YES YES YES....I always wondered if the holy spirit had skipped over my old congregation because of me....it was ALWAYS ME, you know..(thanks to this place I have learned that I was basically an organization angel, telling the elders EVERY f'ing thing I did and feeling so wicked - oh well - it's over)
Fear
Obligation
Guilt
It is wonderful to be out of the FOG!
