I tell u there is something going on with them, like a big business, very cunning, getting kids and old people to give their money, using guilt as a motivator. They have power over peoples minds like hitler did. make u think....

Ever met high ranking JW and felt uneasy
by AlanB inthis came up in another topic and feel it needs a topic of its own.
does anyone else have experiences of meeting (cant use the word 'brothers')men from high up in the borg and felt uneasy about it.. alanb wrote.
i was at twickenham many years ago (about 20) and went to the admin area to get info about serving where the need was great (great plan that turned out to be) anyway there were two elderly yet autstere brothers standing at the steps to the main office area looking as though they owned the place, they had a real air of seniority and importance about them, i have no idea who they were, yet sense they were senior one was english the other american.. .

I went to the assembly today, fun!
by jwbot inok, mike and i went to the circuit assembly today at the mca at the university of maine (where i go to school).
we made it through the first half and it went faster than i thought.. .
this is me and my friend jenn (another ex-jw) the night before the assembly at 10:30pm getting drunk before heading out to the bar where we got really drunk and danced and had a great time.

send me too sleep just looking, i always thought there was an element of entertainment missing, even if only at half time, should be a dj or comedian, u know get the bar open that knida thing, if they did have their new world, how feckin borin would that be, better to have a short but fun life, haha

by Hondo inwhat if the majority religion (i'm not sure i consider the jehovah witnesses a religion) in the world today were the jehovah witnesses?
instead of the catholics let's say (i think the catholics have around a billion or so).
imagine jw numbers at around one billion or two, or about 1/5 of the world population (boy, this is a sacry thought).

i rekon there's some world domination plot going with them, if the numbers built upto that amount, i rekon over time the watchtower etc even their bible will slowely morph into telling people to go and buy guns and get ready to fight for ur new world, and there would be a sudden dooms day article, hypeing everyone up to go and finish off the evil worldly people.

friend getting DFed tonight and my upcoming meeting....
by red so deep inwell it looks like my friend's dfing is getting announced tonight.
she decided not to try an appeal because she really doesn't want the stress of telling the story all over again, and she's heard horror stories from one of her friends that was dfed about 12 elder appeal committies and whatnot.
i've really been trying to help her out and let her know that it's going to be incredibly difficult but that i'll be there for her even though i'm baptized (when i was 11 years old..great decision...) pretty much all of her friends will be cut off from her, except for the few "worldly" friends she has, but it doesn't sound like her mom will really allow any association with them either.... so we'll see how the weeks ahead turn out... i also have a meeting thursday night with two elders in my hall.

Just realize that people who are not jw's are not evil and bad people, since I left I have become very aware of this, I no longer have conditional friendships, It was very hard leaving all my friends, but I could'nt stay when I did'nt believe. Now I have loads of friends, and life is good, I dont feel constant guilt because of failing to meet the standards, I can pursue the things which interest me in life, without a narrow vision, I am free to find out what all the different religeons say, free to use my own free will.... Well anyway good luck with ur mate.

all they wanna do is bully and manipulate people, if u hear something enough, three times a week, from birth, and told that everyone else is evil, and children of the devil. To treat children like that is disgusting, if their god was real were all [edit], make me mad thinkin of how much i missed out on cos of them, im a 26 yr old going on 16, as far as relationships are concerned
