I'm against it. I can't see any good or even relief coming from it. It's a conflict of principle. Also, there are too many times here in the state where people have been wrongfully convicted and even executed--

Corroded Sparkplug
by Sparkplug intoday i sat and really realized how absolutely hopeless i feel.
i have had so many things happen in my life this year and a huge percentage of it has been items i have to face or tackle.
i have prioritized and organized myself to death and i am so very overwhelmed.

I'm thankful for the customer service people at Sallie Mae loan servicing for not being bitches when I call and ask for my payments to be lowered...even though they work for a company that should be charged with extorsion.
I'm thanful for my friend that sends me fake suicide letters--I KNOW this sounds morbid and bad but they are hilarious.
I'm thankful for the guy at the corner store that always puts aside a few packs of my brand of cigarettes for me when he sees the store inventory is getting low.
I'm thankful for people still giving me freelance work.
I know I'm thankful for more but this is what I can come up with now. -

nic- defd is still a Witness and somehow it's cool for him to associate with apostates on line but he'll still defend JW rhetoric to the line.
I'm sorry for what you're going through. It could be you're the only showing her how "worldly people" can be good and caring. Just keep being a friend. She's going to do what she's going to do--whether it be give into the fear drilled in by the JWs or maybe at some point make a break. Just remember there's only so much you can do besides being her friend and letting her know you're a "true" friend. -

Movies!
by cyd0099 inwhat i mean here is i found a group who were starting an indie theater here in town.
i like movies and started to volunteer.
i made friends with the staff and other volunteers as well as getting to know the locals.

by bull01lay inmy wife and i have a new cat - a 7 month old blue smoke persian named olly (pedigree name is pannonius olympian).
olympian he is too - weighing in at 5kg already !!.
he's extremely timid, and hides pretty much constantly, meowing (squeaking now cos i think he's made his throat sore, poor mite).
