I saw the rock hudson version but a long time ago....but the ending you have given sounds familiar to me and I haven't seen the one with Gary Cooper. You might google rock hudson + farewell to arms and see if any sites or pages describe it.

by Vivamus inwhen i was a kid, we used to spend every weekend at my grandparants house.
my grammy had a huge leather brown couch, on which we watched movies (i was either on the couch or hiding in her arms cuz the movie scared me sh*tless).

I signed....one suggestion though. Although copies of the petition should be sent to the WT, it won't have any impact. My suggestion is-- hand it to political representatives where the law suit is taking place. Also if in the US...contact the ACLU. My point is make a fuss, a petition going soley to the WTS won't do much....but to politicians and lawyers it could do a lot.

I'm usually up way past 12 on New Years. I'm not a big New Years person butI like a good time. This one I spent this one with my family the adults had champagne and the kids had sparkeling cider. It was quiet but good. I'm still up. I'm not used to drinking that stuff and it hasn'r worn off completely yet.

you know, I went through a bath phase a couple years ago. Then I got tired of cleaning the bath tub before turning on the water...roommates don't always like to clean tubs. I haven't had one in quite a while not just cause of the cleaning thing anymore but time....and then that thing about not being totally clean after a bath.
I have been thinking about it for the last couple weeks though. my nephew, age 9, insists that he has a fool proof relaxation/cleaning technique. He plays football and needs to shower after games but he told me he turns on the shower, cleans himself real good, then puts the plug in until the water gets to a couple inches, and then turns the shower head off and lets the water fill the tub. And on especially hard days or after hard games he makes himself hot cocoa for what he calls "the bath part." He likes the finer things in life.

by the devil 666 inwhat kind of people are you !!
realy if you had a loved member of your family hurt in a accident and needed blood you would let them die what and all you come out with is they will come back in he new system what a load of shite you talk.
there is not going to be a new system its all a load of bollocks make no wonder your breath stinks of shite as its all the shit what comes out of it .

no...although they encourage donations. The thing is they demand a certain amount of hours of "service" or going door to door to preach which can cut into work which means less money. If she's still new, she's probably trying to buy all the liturature available which will cost money.

well, it's kind of like she's made the commitment and leaving might be harder for her after....not that it isn't harder before. As far as how other JWs treat her...in my experience, baptized people become old news. If they fall on hard times people aren't as ready to help her

well, it's good to know she hasn't taken that step yet but at the same time up until a person is baptized (from what I've seen) they are "love bombed" meaning they are pretty much made to feel like they have a new family and they are secure.
Like I and others have said, it's best to read and learn as much as possible on the JWs and how to approach this with your daughter. And again, let her know your love and support for her is unconditional. I say this because the JWs don't have the concept of unconditional love.
