well, I think they are a tad different... but one takes more personal responsibility than another. When you're not brought up with it... you at least have something to campare it against and YOU HAVE A CHOICE.
I was born in. I knew nothing outside the org except from kids at school and the neighborhood.
My mother wasn't born in and as far as I'm concerned she needs to fess up to joining...even though I know she won't right now.

Is it really time to adopt new grandparents?!

my daughter will be 21 in a couple of weeks.. so, last year we asked my jw parents if they would like to come round for her 20th birthday, promised not to sing happy birthday etc and they came round.

i expected a happy acceptance when i rang and asked them to come round for dinner on her 21st.. but no!.

I'm sorry for you and especially your kids gill. I think what might need to happen is you planning celebrations without them. I know it's hard not to invite them but for your kid's sake it might be good for them to have no expectaions of their grandparents showing up and letting them get on with the celebration with no hang ups.

Just my opinion.

Your posting works AND WELCOME!! Glad you finally posted.

I heard about the brother but I thought it was a wicked looking lamp. I thought only whiskey was demonized.
