  quite a while ago i made a promise to myself not to allow the organization known as jehovah's witnesses to have an effect on my life any longer.

  i had washed my hands of them and their disgusting propaganda machine disguised as a religion.

  an old addage says the best revenge is to live life, and to live it well.

  a study suggests the oft-reported sensation of leaving the body during a brush with death may have a simple explanation in the body itself.. these "out-of-body" and "near-death" experiences -- in which people resuscitated on the operating table speak of being drawn toward a brilliant light, or looking down on their own bodies -- may be influenced by a portion of the brain misfiring under stress, the study suggests.

  the paper describes one patient's visions while she was being evaluated for epilepsy and does not wrestle with issues of the soul.

  I'm just curious. Why does the fact that they can MAKE the brain do this somehow make OBE not true? The brain is a tool of the mind. Just as the surgeon can make body parts move or affect speech or smell when using electrical probes during brain surgery,so I'm sure that there are parts of the brain that are just now being discovered that have other jobs! I don't find the fact that they can recreate the experience makes it any less real.

  Meetup In Greensboro

  i went to the meetup in the bowling alley in greensboro yesterday.

  only one couple and me showed up.

  we waited for about 45 minutes and decided to leave for a place we could talk, the noise was so loud that we couldn't hear each other without shouting.

  We had a really great time too :) We were so glad that you could come over and visit! I'm glad Ralph (our mutt of a collie dog) finally chilled out, the stinker. hehehe. I really enjoyed our conversation. Seems as if you share many of the same views on the world as myself and Steve. Thanks for all the nice compliments. Hope that we can do it again. You are welcome at our home anytime! Maybe next time we can have a cookout :) That would be fun!!

  i always did wonder about this, i mean, what function do they have and further, if, just supposing that we are made in the image of god, does god himself have the equivalent of nipples?

  Keep Sirona in your thoughts, Surgery today

  sirona is going back into the hospital today for more surgery.

  she will be going under general anesthesia to have more biopsies done.. i know its always scary to "go under.

  " lets send warm thoughts her way and hope for the best with the outcome of the biopsies .. .
