I have the book Occult Theocrasy by Lady Queenborough (Edith Starr Miller). That is correct about Charles Taze Russell being listed in the index section on page 737 as a Freemason. He has the sign (three dots at the points of a triangle) to the left of his name, as do many other individuals listed there. I would not accept this as conclusive proof that he was a mason as this symbol was simply a designation employed by Lady Queenborough to denote others, as well. Interesting story behind the author and the book, however. Occult Theocrasy was intended for private circulation only and was published AFTER her death, according to her wishes. Seems she was privy to some rather potent info about practically every secret society and their agendas. Certainly a "must have" book for any who are involved in researching the mysteries of Freemasonry.

A mason may request that his membership remain secret, and for that reason there are many "hidden" masons, possibly including Russell, his father and his uncle.

Ever have something weird happen in meeting, with APOSTATES!
by free2beme ini was at a meeting one time and the elder was giving the talk on "sex and marriage" on a sunday.
i always hated this talk and the elder giving it always seemed uneasy with such a bold topic in a mixed age group.
well, right in the middle of the talk, this woman stood up and asked "so, are you saying oral sex is wrong?

Watchtower Gives Up Explaining 607 BCE Date!
by VM44 inthis is a very important observation, that the watchtower has not tried to explain in print why 607 bce is the year for the destruction of jerusalem for the last 17 years!!!.
all that the watchtower has done over most of the last two decades is to repeat over and over the year "607bce" in its publications as if it is an unquestioned fact!.
the last time an explaination for the year was attempted by the watchtower was in 1988 when the "insight" volumes were published, but since then, no explaination for the validity of the year has appeared in print.. this must mean something, but what?

Dear Apostates
by wanderlustguy inwell well well, kicking the puppy was fun.
for those of you unfamiliar with the term, it is bashing and bitching about the org, which i was happy to do.
also with it i found an intense sense of a need to help, and to get involved.

Douglas Walsh Case
by Bluegrass Tom in.
i am trying to obtain a copy of the douglas walsh case -scotland 1954, or other court transcripts where gb members took the stand and testimony was given pertaining to being the "channel", "1914", the ability to translate ancient languages or other salient topics.
i think there was a trial in nyc about the same period where some of these topics were covered.. if any one can direct me where i can obtain copies of these i would appreciat it.

Hmmmmmmm...
Your page is 348 which mentions the "worthy of death" response. My page 322 speaks of "unity at all costs", but then, instead of going into the "worthy of death" response, just shows 3 lines of periods. I'm wondering if there may be 2 transcript copies, each with its own nuances. Any way you could possibly give me links to your page on scan it in?

In the February 15, 1927 Watchtower, the "slave" is identified by Rutherford as the WBTS organization and not an individual (Charles Taze Russell).

Leolaia:
Could you check your Walsh transcript copy on page 322 and tell me if you have all periods where "deserving of death" should be? That was Hayden Covington's response under cross-examination, but is missing from my National Archives copy which I obtained last year.
Thx
