  Well today is the day

  today at 3 pm i will take donna to the hospital for her examination.she is putting up a good front but i can tell that she is really scared about the possible outcome.. being a nurse for years, one gathers up a lot of knowledge and she does know a lot about the body and its failures.. she is scared and i am terrified.

  her three sons and family will be there also.

  so i won't be alone.. my few children in this area are still jw's and do not give a crap about me or donna being ill.. so they won't be there.

  in just a few weeks, this year will end and a new one begins.

  nothing special, just 2006.. but when you analyse the jw doctrine, it is another nail in their already 91 nail studded coffin.

  the watchtower has for decades taught that jesus' presence and rulership began in 1914. since changing the generation of 1914 doctrine, a whole decade has passed, with little in the way of anything new.

  Notice the words at the bottom of the article...Published in 1993. Ya gotta read the fine print. Why would they still post the article? As a hook. While they're reelin' you in, they start tellin' you about the "new light" on the 1914 generation.

  there are plenty of threads already about chronology, babylonian kings, egyptian kings, median and persian kings, there is also lots of information available about old bible-students and jw literature.

  even a simplified chronology including "fallen baby" and "evil duck" is available somewhere on this site.

  I gave the PO a letter tonight

  tonight was the school/service meeting at the kh, and myself and dedpoet drove there at the end of the meeting to see the po.

  we didn't go in the hall, we just waited outside the gates for the po to come out, then i handed him my letter, saying it was to get things over with and save the necessity of a jc.

  he didn't ask what it was, i think he knew, especially when he saw dp give me the thumbs up sign, but asked me to reconsider, but i said my mind is made up, i am leaving, and i want it out in the open as soon as possible.

  Our beloved Bible gives us a sense of being worthless and doomed and our lives are filled with endless rituals of reassuring the invisible ill-tempered Soverign in the sky that we mean well.

  Then just don't follow the Bible. After all, isn't this how we were made to feel as JWs? I wouldn't want to go through THAT again.

  well my wife and i just endured a long weekend with her parents and extended jw family.

  i've had about all of the stomach turning jw rhetoric i can stand for a while.

  in the interest of sharing my pain, here are a few select quotes for the rest of you.. "wow, i guess you don't have your watchtower library out because you use the cd, right?".

  i posted this on a different thread regarding my mother but her sister (my aunt) told her that because i left the "truth" and am living my life outside of bible principles, that the "demons" are affecting her.

  she told my mom that twice last week, "the demons pushed her" and caused her to fall.

  because my mother associates with me and my mom associates with her sister----therefore the "contact" is made thru my mother to her.

  i feel that so many wrongs of the wtbs have been outed especially with the internet age...such as u.n. scandal, child abuse scandal, wrongful dfing, etc.

  does anyone here find it strange that we can not find 1 person to out them on the money, their holdings, their spending?

  where does all that money go, where is it kept, who has control over it?
