  jesus spoke to jehovah god in prayer.jehovah being the allmighty god.the nt is centered around jesus.thats true but this does not mean jesus is the one we should worship.surley we should all want to pray to the god jesus prayed two

  Michael Jackson to sell Neverland to the WT?

  rumors are flying that michael jackson will soon close the deal on the sale of his vacated neverland ranch to the watchtower society.

  they are selling their ny city bethel properties and moving to a nicer climate due to the poor health of the aging bethel staff.

  the ranch seems to be an ideal fit for for them.

  i never thought i would do one of those infamous goodbye i cant take this board anymore posts where the person shows up again a week later and looks like an idiot.

  when i had enough of this board and needed a little break i would just quietly leave for a few months and hopefully nobody noticed.

  that is not the case this time.

  i received my first elder call yesterday.

  he wants to talk to me today.

  i have never been afraid of the elders but i also have no experience on what they are going to say because i have never ask for their opinion on anything and i have never been accused of anything either so, any ex or current elders here that can brief me about what to expect?.

  this thread is for those who joined on their own....not those who grew up as jw's and dragged into it.... in my case, they seemed to be alone preaching the good news of the kingdom to be on earth and heaven.

  they called god jehovah or yhwh.

  they preached door to door like mathew 24:14 said.

  leaving the organization, it is like packing for a journey you can choose what you take with you, and what you leave behind (other than people).

  there are things i chose to take with me.

  for example, i have used the sales training to my advantage over the years.

  i just heard from back home (puerto rico), about this elder i know (i was good friends with his daughter), that just got df'd for homosexuality.

  this is how the story goes:

  he was an elder for over 20 years and he even claimed to be of the "annointed class'.

  Joelbear: It's a line from a George Carlin show, it came after "driving down the Hershey highway". He was talking about euphemisms (I think?!). Anyway, just trying to keep a light mood. A heterosexual version would be: 'Crushing the Spider'... :)
