  JW.Org claims they have fullfilled Jesus command to preach in all the inhabited earth.Have they really done that ? I dont think so.

  apart from the fact that they have mainly followed in the footsteps of christendom before them what virgin territories have they ever gone to that christendom before them has not gone to .

  i would think none.. how many lands ,countrys ,are their that they have never made any significant inroads into ?.

  we are not talking about token service in any of these countrys in major cities , but a real door to door witness to every individual householder that gets it every few months as in western lands.. some that i can think of : north korea ,mainland china , bangladesh ,india , pakistan , jordan , israel , iran , syria ,burma ( sorry cant think of the new name ).

  GB asks every JW to give Putin their home address

  jw's around the globe have been encouraged to write letters to putin and the russian government.

  they are expected to give their personal details on the envelope.

  i appreciate that this might be normal when writing to your own government if they are tolerant, but is this not a bit strange that the gb want to give putin the address of every jw in the world?

  What will be more interesting is an expansion of anit-WT sentiment beyond today's levels. The same opposition is already occurring in other lands and for the same reasons, WT policy and heretical- inflammatory rhetoric.

  so all the jw's i know are practically wetting their pants in excitement over the russian letters they are sending out.

  they seem to have this insane idea that putin's office will be pulled sky high with all these letters and they have this image in their imaginations of him having to open and read every letter (!).

  also all the jw's i know have all put their name and address on the letter... which couldn't have any repercussions of course (!

  Putin will be so impressed. The Jehovah's Witnesses will spend approximately $100,000,000 on this mailing campaign to produce feed paper for Russian recycling mills. It is estimated that this will create approximately 30 Russian jobs.

  Imagine the good it will do for mother Russia. I can see Putin with a tear in his eye for Watchtower. I can see him truly affected and remorseful for trying so hard to protect the Russian people from anti-education-hate literature at the expense of such a self-sacrificing group.

  Personally, I think that if WT had instead spent $100m helping the poor and disaffected in the worst parts of Russia, and showed some respect for Putin's effort to create an atmosphere of religious tolerance, an atmosphere devoid of "only we, only we, only we" and "you're gonna burn", then maybe he would have made a call in favor of JWs.

  An open letter to Vladimir Putin, President of Russia

  Russian Branch Office of Jehovah’s Witnesses would be shut down and liquidated

  Dear Honorable Vladimir Putin:
  
  Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. I know you and your staff are working hard to provide a fair and peaceful environment for the citizens of your country. At the same time I would like to implore you to expand the treatment of Jehovah’s Witnesses in your country.
  
  In 1633 Galileo was convicted of heresy for publishing information that the earth was not the center of the universe. The Church used heavy-handedness to silence anything or anyone who challenged their authority. It took 300 years for the Church to admit that Galileo was right and clear his name of heresy.
  
  Today in the 21st century, Jehovah’s Witnesses have continued the tradition by crushing dissent in their ranks. It's takes great effort to silence they who would speak the modern "Earth is not flat" truths, that, for instance we conceal child abusers and punish victims and their families, that we break up families, that our doctrines are lethal and unscriptural, that we try to fool public officialdom at every turn and use them to our advantage as in our secret affiliation with United Nations.

  
  

  We hope that we can go past 300 years without EVER having to admit anything, and we need your help. We are more than a third of the way there, but with your help, with a little more obfuscation and lies, and a heap more persecution of our brethren who would dare to speak out the truth, we can get there.
  
  Step 1) Ban our publications. When any of Jehovah’s Witnesses publications are outlawed and labeled “extremist,” we comply with the law and remove it from our places of worship and homes. However, this does not stop the persecution. The Russian authorities consistently find our secret stash and prosecute us for breaking the law.
  
  Step 2) Ban us from teaching the Bible outside our places of worship. The study aids we publish are not essential to our faith. We need only the Bible. Except that ...

  Step 3) Ban Jehovah’s Witnesses, by labeling us “extremists.” This will effectively allow Russia to take over all of our legally registered and established places of worship throughout the country affecting over 100,000 Russian citizens. In doing so, Russia would be able to prosecute criminally any members of our faith.
  
  I am writing, Honorable Putin, to respectfully request your official intervention.
  

  1. Continue applying legislation on extremism to the peaceful worship of Jehovah’s Witnesses
  2. Advance the claim filed with the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation seeking “to declare the religious organization, the Administrative Center of Jehovah’s Witnesses, extremist, ban its activity, and liquidate it.”
  3. Widen the list of WTBTS religious publications in the Federal List of Extremist Materials
  4. Ensure that Jehovah’s Witnesses cannot peacefully enjoy freedom of religion and assembly without interference
  5. Enforce media standards prohibiting libel and slander (this needs no modification)

  Jehovah’s Witnesses may disagree with certain practices, for example, smoking. But they are taught to love the “smoker” as themselves. They never promote the hatred of another human being. In fact, Hitler sent German Jehovah’s Witnesses to concentration camps for refusing to take up arms and kill. This, after our beloved President JF Rutherford sent Hitler a letter schmoozing up to the 3rd Reich

  with immediate effect, a 15 march suspension order forbids the administrative centre and all its local religious organisations from "using state and municipal news media, organising and conducting assemblies, rallies, demonstrations, processions, picketing, and other mass actions or public events, and using bank deposits, with the exception of use for making payments connected with their economic activity, compensating for losses (damages) caused by their actions, and paying taxes, fees, or fines, and making payments based on labour contracts" .

  i'm all for religious freedoms.

  i am not for a religious organization demanding freedoms from the government that they in turn take away from their own members.

  why should the organization get religious freedom when they take that very thing away from it's members?.

  can you say red herring?.

  maybe they should add "feeding your children is clearly not criminal, neither is helping an old woman cross the street".

  Why the Russians are doing what the Russians are doing.

  1) They forcibly deny persons freedom of speech.

  2) They break up families and friendships through extreme shunning.

  3) They enforce a self-contradictory policy concerning blood therapies, causing DEATH.

  4) They demonize whistleblowers for telling the truth.

  5) They use methods of communication within the WTBTS organization to avoid State policing according to Yarovaya’s Law

  6) They tell untruth in the extreme concerning the WTBTS organization's history, to keep people in their icy grip.

  7) They blatantly discourage education beyond what is necessary for bare existence.

  8) They manipulate members to divest their valuables into the coffers of the WTBTS.
