Fortunately I have a wonderful mother in law and sisters in law. But............... yes, I would.

Mind your manners!
by hibiscusfire inhow would you handle situations?.
sometimes people know the right thing to do but yet do otherwise.
what would you really do in certain cases even if you know or don't know the acceptable thing?.

According to Good Housekeeping mag. this is the right answer? Phooey!! I do what I know is right. And if she wants to be resentful? Don't let the door kick her in the butt as she leaves. She must grow up and respect her son's and daughter in law's house rules. And if she doesn't like the food go eat with the dog or cat. Aren't I mean?? Juni :)

I'd put on my headphones and tune her out. If it continued day after day - a regular commuter that has the same schedule as I, I would leave the train the same time as she and kick her to the curb and smash her cell phone. ONLY KIDDING!!

Hibiscus,
What would I do? Since this is my husband's mother he would be the one to address the problem to her. If it were the other way around, it would by my responsibility. That's my 2 cents worth.

For you bleeding hearts - poor, poor people just had to shoot at police because they've had a hard time of it. PUKE Cry me a river!!!! What happened to social responsibility? They're criminals that need to be dealt with. Atleast the police wounded them in a way they could go to the hospital.
How many of us have had s***** upbringings, but don't go out and shoot and loot? I bet you wouldn't feel the same if you were looking down the gun barrel of a criminal or witness an horrific crime.
I have no idea what color the skin of these people - doesn't matter to me if they were green. There has to be law and order or anarchy exists which takes away the basic human right to exist peacefully on this planet.
And that's my 2 cents worth to some crazy, stupid comments. Juni Breeze

I had heard on CNN Mon. am that I believe 1 was shot dead and the others were shot, but taken to hospitals and then they'll deal with them. They got exactly what they deserved.
Sounds like some are being reunited w/family members and taken into church members' homes. And I heard that Texas can take no more people. So many have helped out. And these people are worthy of death at Armageddon according to JW if they don't become believers? I find it hard to swallow. Juni Breeze

Watch CNN @ 8 PM EDST Tonght
by Honesty inlarry king hosts this special that details how viewers can help with the hurricane katrina relief efforts.
the red cross president is expected to be interviewed.. usually there is a viewer call-in portion on the program.
i wonder what the reaction would be if it was known that a non-profit organisation like the wtbts instructed people to mark their donations for the world wide work and not specifically for hurricane katrina relief efforts?

Personally I don't think they'd let you through on air. They don't want to start a controversy otherwise the program could turn into a disaster of its own!! Juni Breeze

Watchtower printeries operating at only 50% capacity
by truthseeker inposted from channelc.org.
makes you think!!!!.
in the final talk at our district convention we were told that the printing plants are working at only 50% capacity (due, it was implied, by divine intervention).. the thought was expressed that this may be because there is going to be a massive increase in numbers coming into the organisation requiring more printing.. as we all know, growth has been minimal over many years now, so the question, where is this growth to come from, and if it comes, how are we going to stop the massive haemorrhage in brothers leaving?.

Good evening Gary,
So, the shipping, binding, printing is all at Wallkill? What do they do in NY now? Why all of these accommodations being built (rooms) for bros. and sisters? I just don't get it. They are making these apts. in the DUMBO area, making rooms (?) in the Columbia Hts. Bldg. Possibly selling the Furman site. Where do those volunteers live that work in Wallkill? And I could never get it straight what goes on at the Patterson site. Do they still grow their food there? Do visitors that come stay there at facilities?? I am throughly confused. Thanks for your clarification. Juni Breeze
