i have had this constantly for 3 - 4 months now and am finally on some strong antibiotics at my request in case it's infected inner passage ways and sinuses because i do suffer allergies and blocked ear passageways.. anyway, if you are a closet hypochondriac in the making like me, you occasionally google things to see what's wrong with you and find references to horrendous things, which make you worry you're going to die, or start dissolving from inside out.. one such site about ringing in the ears is telling me i have some connection to the spirit realm which i can hear as a ringing in the ears.
if you don't believe me, google ringing in the ears metaphysics, and you will find it is spiritual data downloading, my heightened spiritual awareness, a choir of angels singing or the noise of the spirit realm which i haven't been able to hear until now.. i'm not sure just why there are so many theories, but when i followed some advice, and sat back in my chair and focused on the noise, it is as they tell me, a kind of vibrational thing, and a kind of relaxation can befall you.. .
i'm not saying i believe any of this, just saying, i can see where the theories stem from.
To me, tinnitus is like having a muzzled mosquito buzzing in your ear night and day.
I've had it now for 2 years after a .45 pistol was fired in my room. I've talked to the doc as it is very annoying, but he said there's nothing they can do short of surgery. I have no health insurance so that's not an option right now. I always have some sort of "noise" going so it isn't as noticeable. Otherwise, if you "tune in" to the buzzing it can drive you nuts.
I feel for anyone who is experiencing this.

your place or mine?".
alliteration is what happens when a whole bunch of people toss garbage out of their car windows on the highway.. punctuation is what every 14 year old boy wants to do to every 14 year old girl and every other female on the planet for that matter.. using a semi-colon in a sentence is the same thing as using a period, except it isn't.. using a colon is something best done in private.. most people, use commas, way too much, and this, should be, avoided, however.. exclamation marks should be used sparingly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I set up a Cisco Linksys E4200 router which has WPA/WPA2 Personal and Enterprise encryption for security. Unless a terrorist operative wants to hack in, in which case they will be sorely disappointed with my data, I feel I'm safe. And no way am I going to be fooled by someone at my door asking for a cup of sugar while searching out my printer for nefarious deeds.

just a small commentary for those so inclined to read on what i think is a very important factor to successfully leaving jw's and moving on with your life.. it is understandable to leave at a bad/low point in your life.
jehovahs witnesses are a cult, and whether they force you out, or you choose to leave on your own, its still on their terms.
I believe you said what needs to be said ATJ. Seems that people will say what they want on forums as it's not face to face, but from behind a computer screen. Perhaps if they had personal contact w/ the person they would be more controlled and respectful of the differences of opinion? Perhaps not as some people are just assholes and will not give others due respect.
I feel it's ironic. We say we value the right to have our opinions heard unlike what we experienced as JWs. But, within some of these threads posters are quick to jump on someone for their expressions and opinions. Isn't that JW mentality?
I would think that we would want to choose the higher road and agree to disagree politely while expressing our own opinions. Just my two cents.

Save 1/2 their dinner and feed them after playtime.
Cats tend to be nocturnal. So there's going to be some activity at night. Your goal is to give them the attention they want and then they'll be more apt to find entertainment doing other things besides bugging you.
