  a few weeks ago, i was at the bank drive-through cashing a check for $331.

  the teller sent out $3310.

  i was shocked and immediately sent it back.. i told my daughter when i got home, and she said "why didn't you keep it?

  I agree with the others. I would have sent it back also. I believe in being honest and I don't need any organization to force that idea on me.

  would you change when you were born?

  if so when would you have liked to have lived?

  i was born in 58 so i grew up as a kid in the sixties and was a teen in the 70s which was pretty good.

  Josie -

  It was a VERY SAD TIME before the Civil Rights movement got going. I remember as a little girl seeing 2 separate bathroom stalls - one for black people and one for white. Also, separate drinking fountains. My mom had to explain it to me. I didn't understand that; made no sense.

  My husband LOVED Dr. Who. I believe it was always on Sat. that it was shown. What network? Day?

  I've got to tell him - he'll be soooooo excited. Maybe I should wait though and look at the tv listings first.

  Another fantasy would to have lived earlier than that say the 1600s or earlier as an American Indian one of the many proud tribes that roamed the entire beautiful continent!

  Anewme - Before "the white man" came to terrorize the Indians would have been great. Did you ever read "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee"?

  Blondie - I agree with you. There were so MANY changes during the 60's for women's rights. And all of the great music - Motown, the invasion of the British music, Age of Aquarius, Folk, Surf, etc. Mini skirts. And things got better as far as medicines, technology due to the space program, economy, etc.

  I was born in 1949 and I remember the 50's. Families appeared "Cleaver-types" and some truly were, but there was a lot of bad stuff being shoved under the rug. Now, you have a lot of "Help" lines and places to go for help.

  Our generation has seen 2 extremes as far as womens' and human rights. I remember seeing the racial uprisings - the marching of people for their basic rights.

  I felt like I grew up in modern times, but compared to now, as things change so quickly those days seem like "horse and buggy"!

  (prweb) february 21, 2005 -- many people will remember a famous tv ad where a woman races to her washing machine, fabric softener in hand, only to arrive just as the wash ends.

  this woman who "forgot to ad the fabric softener" was actually doing herself and her family a favor.. .

  Hi Swalker!

  That is so funny and odd that you would post about fab. soft. today. I was just reading the same thing and also how to make home made laundry and automatic dish det.

  I remember my grandma making her own homemade stuff w/fat and lye. Back during the time of wringer washers.

  I'm going to try the wht. vinegar and baking soda. They just said to be careful when mixing the two as it will fizz.

  Yes, for the most part. It's hard sometimes to get across what you're trying to say when you can't see/hear the other person's reaction. Something gets lost online, but I try.
