I know, in my heart, that I am alive now not because I forgave someone, but because I asked God to forgive this person.

Forgiveness, How Far Do You Take It?
by prophecor inhas it ever happened to you, something so dispicable you would rather go to your grave, not having forgiven someone a wrong they had done you, hopeful that god would sort it out in the end?
mind you, i know things like child molestation, rape and murder are things for which it is difficult, if not impossible, to be forgiving of.
that being said, where does one draw the line on forgiveness?

6,000,000 ( members ) mutiplied by $10.00/mo. ( extreme low ball ) = $ 60.000,000.00/mo. multiplied by 12 months = $ 720,000,000.00/yr.
It's my guess that $10.00/ mo. profit per member is minimal. And no one is living large?

blondie . . .you mentioned Bryant's situation. So, if I was a JW with a business where my clients were mostly other JWs, then I would think twice about doing something that would upset the local elders, because I may not only get disfellowshiped but I'd be financially ruined as well ? And then multiply by all the JW businesses out there . . . What a scam !

Nuisance rooster?!?
by bebu inyesterday at 5:00 am i awoke to a rooster crowing.
he crowed for 10 minutes and then kept quiet for 10 minutes.
just enough to allow me to fall back to sleep before starting up again.

So sorry, Bebu ! But, years ago, the same thing happened to me. The people next door had this huge, beautiful white rooster and he acted exactly the same; crowing right outside my bedroom window early in the morning. I couldn't sleep so I was forced to complain to them. They were very understanding and got rid of him. Where he ended up I don't know . . .someone's Sunday dinner?

Very little info here, however, when there's a mix of radical religious doctrine ( coming from the girl ) and over-the-edge thinking ( coming from the guy ) and it's all fueled with high octane drugs, there's bound to be an explosion. In this case it was the slicing up of this poor girl.

Youth Policy Of The WT.
by Englishman ini wonder why brooklyn doesn't lighten up on it's treatment of it's young folk.
it's almost inevitable that the majority of young folk are going to walk away from the jw's as they get older.. after all, who wants to be told whether they can dance or not, whether or not they can have a boyfriend / girlfriend, whether they should pursue an education or not?.
growing up always involves a degree of rebellion against the status quo.

Anyone had a near death experience?
by holly inor anything similar???
the nearest i came was knocking myself out - my life actually did flash before my eyes.
it could only have been seconds before bumping my head and hitting the ground, but i flashed through scene after scene of life events, from childhood to adulthood.
