Am I weird, in that I actually want the world to end?
by free2beme insince leaving the witnesses, i have noticed that i enjoy movies about the world ending.
they might be movies about major disasters killing off the world (deep impact) or maybe movies about a world after civilization has fallen (the postman, waterworld).
i even like those movies that show society falling apart in alien invasions (war of the worlds, independence day).

Is Christmas for Pagans?
by LittleToe ingiven that so many practises associated with christmas are blatantly christian in origin, is christmas truly for pagans?.
i know that often there are few christian connotations attributed to it nowadays, in such a secularised society, but history is on record in showing that the whole baby jesus thing is definitely a christian element.
would any true pagan today want to drink such a mixed cup?.

A long time ago, in the 60's and 70's, our generation believed that Christmas was extremely commercialized and that we all should shy away from that kind of thinking . . .which, in a way, was a good thing to do. Now, as a more mature adult, I still don't really care about the physical aspects of Christmas, ( the over-the- top gift giving baloney ) however, I love to watch children become enthralled with the majesty of it all. And, I also, try to suspend my disbelief - of humanity and all it's ills, and try to know, as in to fully feel and understand the spirit of love and sharing. Isn't that one of the messages of Christmas?
Don't spoil Christmas for whatever reason . . .it is a good thing.

Concerning the action at Waco, Texas I must ask two questions ; Who or what organization was in control of the situation there and why were eighty-one people ( mostly women and children ) baked alive in an underground hiding place ?
