  Should I attend a JW funeral?

  i mean, i had respect for the guy, and it's obviously right to be there for the family and show support.

  however, i can imagine what it will be like going back.

  i was friendly with a lot of the older, tougher sisters, so i'm sure they'll get on my case.

  What do our past Witness friends say about our Christmass tree and lights?

  i have always liked the lights of christmass, and some how i still feel weird when they do our our area in the field service.

  what do you say to them when they come to condem and roll their eyes at you for it?

  Actually, the first year I publicly celebrated, My dad gave me a call (about a variety of things) that eventually cumlinated in him saying "You look at that tree- and see what you've become." That actually made me laugh at him, because it really is a ludicrous thing to hear.

  References in the Reasoning Book

  so i was scanning through my reasoning book recently on a lark, & started looking at the actual reference texts.

  one scientific text they reference was written in the 1800s!

  then i noted that some books acknowledged didn't list the publisher- they said 'boston' or 'new york'.

  So I was scanning through my Reasoning Book recently on a lark, & started looking at the actual reference texts. One scientific text they reference was written in the 1800s! Then I noted that some books acknowledged didn't list the publisher- they said 'Boston' or 'New York'. This struck me as odd, until I saw the the classic non-partisan tome 'Insight from the Scriptures (Boston)'.

  Has anyone else noticed this? & wouldn't it be fun to use?

  after being a jw for about 27 yrs and giving up old wordly habits...some still lurk at my door..how about you?

  which is your choice of badness, i mean the serious df kind...marijuana, smoking, premarital sex, etc...anything creeping back???
