  dear all,.

  i just had to tell you.. i'm at home, kids in bed, wife's out (girls night out) i'm watching liverpool on the telly (no score yet), just finished a curry, drinking lager, reading jw.com.

  this is not meant to be a blanket condemnation of all jw's.

  i thought the title would grab ppl's attention as well as bring light to a fact that may explain stillin's blatantly arrogant post yesterday.. in it he implies that all former jw's must have left the org due to some wrong doing on their part.

  he basically implied that everyone who posts here is immoral and the fruits of their actions has turned them into bitter opposers of the org that 'is closer to the bible than any other'.. to me his post is a prime example of the pharasaical attitude that pervades the jw organization.

  to all those who have in some way left the organization (be it disfellowshipping, disassociating, dis-whatever):.

  come now, i know the amount of people who "realized that wt doctrine was in serious error" and politely handed in their letter of resignation has to be very small.

  the level of bitterness and hostility towards the closest-to-what's-biblical organization has to develop some other way.. what did you do?

  i spoke with my sister last night back in ny about this whole jw thing.

  (she is da'd).

  we were discussing my pregnancy and the fact that my mom hasn't even bothered to say anything except for the fact that since i'm 'inactive with doubts' the baby would die at armegeddon anyway.

  i have a question about restrictions on df'd persons wanting to come back to the org.. i finally joined here on mar 26, after reading posts for about a month, with telling my story first.

  what moved me to join in was reading ozzie's post on mar.23(i think), about "restrictions" regarding reproofs, probations, and df'ing.

  i appreciated his comments and was so glad when he brought the subject up.

  How far should we let our love go?

  jesus said in john 13:35 that "by this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.

  " how far should we let this mindset affect our dealings with people no mattter who they are or what they do?

  What would you have done without the WT?

  imagine that you had never heard of the watchtower.

  imagine that your life and that of your families had never been influenced by wt teachings.. i know for a fact that the wt's philosophy on further education contributed to my not achieving what i should have at school.

  this is not to shirk the responsibility for my grades; ultimately they were my responsibility.

  hello friends,.

  in a thread over at witnesses.net entitled "society bracing for law suits" fellow jw's are taking swipes at ray franz.

  not too long ago, while i was still under the wt spell i also would have similarily spoken abusively of ray.
