I think there is a ton of good things I got from the organization. Some, might be habits or traits I could have picked up at another "church" per se but nonetheless I got a lot of soft skills from there.. 1.) Public Speaking - I can speak to any audience, regardless of stature, size, or anything and deliver the message that needs to be delivered 2.) Ability to think on my feet. I am not pressured at all in the boardroom or interviews with questions 3.) Confidence.. I am sorry anyone who can go to a strangers door and talk about religion is going to have a certain degree of confidence and moxy. 4.) I know the bible better then 90% of the "Christian" population. I actually studied the bible and not just the pubs and I am better for it. 5.) I also learned a lot of carpentry skills that I use on my properties all the time.

Pretty numb for the most part. Not the type of numb where I am so shocked and hurt, just a whatever numb. I think there are some great people in the organization who are doing what they think is right and I respect that from anyone to a certain extent. Just like every organization there is good, bad, and a lot in between.

Because technically he was the team manager.. aka water boy equipment manager. At the end of the day the coaches job is to win games at that level and to develop his talent for the years to come. The coach did a WONDERFUL thing even letting that kid get in the game let alone to shoot. But after his stellar performance the question is why in the world didn't the coch play him earlier. Heck at that level I guess caoches can make mistakes. Even Jordan didn't make the cut one year in HS.
Great Story for sure

Damn you all... My overnight guest :-) came out of the shower and asked what was wrong. They were showing this story on ESPN this morning and it was pretty cool. I think I am completely done watching ESPN for a while. A couple of weekends ago(superbowl week) they had a story of a flag football league for Mentally Handicapped children. Each kid gets the ball only one time to score and there was a kid who just weeks ago asked not to recieve any more treatment and is well dying. The kid had a seizure before the game but still wanted to play. Got in there and dropped the ball. He was so sad and distraught. He wnet to the sidelines had another seizrure, etc. They gave him another chnge and he scored.
That is my motiviation forever. That kid is dying freaking had a seizure and still set out to accomplish his goal. G' Damn getting teary eyed again....

What Went Thru Your Mind While Sitting at The Meetings?
by minimus ini used to listen but not really.
i'd look at the platform/speaker stand, look like i was paying attention, get antsy, and find another elder to "discuss" something ith.
i just got to the meeting----right before it was to start and if the talkative po decided that his last part was going to go overtime, i'd put on my coat and look at the big clock on my way out in front of everyone and leave for the local bar.

Hhahaha I have totally enjoyed reading this thread!!!!
1.) Damn it... another meeting
2.) Song/Prayer... Man I hope brother so and so does not give the prayer I want to sit down
3.) Sit down... look at the hotties in the hall. Have sex with each of them at least 10 times in my head, sometimes with multiple sisters
4.) Bordem would take over go back to the stall close the door and catch some zzzzz's
5.) Avoid elder standing in the back so he can not give me shi* for not turning in a field service report for ohh 18 - 24 months...lol
6.) Look at the hotties I was fornicating with in my mind and try to figure out who would be a real freak in the bedroom. Who would swallow, into anal, you know typical guy perverted freaky stuff...
7.) Look at the clock and wonder how in the hell has only 15 minutes passed...
8.) Contmplate skipping the 2nd half to go to bar with some friends
Repeat steps 1 though 8 till it ended.

I am guilty party of this myslef in HighSchool. Even so I would say it more of an Enigma then anything. But really what is the message they are sending... High School kids think and talk about sex while at school... Well holy hell Sherlock and Elder/soon to be MS boy there working the amp is thinking about nailing some chick. It is absurd to think that JW kids are immune to having sexual desires.. that is the Rubbish part of this article.

Good Points, but do you think the script got chnaged after Pittsburgh beat the world favorite Poster Boy Peyton Manning and the Colts. I mean the refs were as bad as I ever seen in that game. The literally did all they could to let Indy win. I think there is too much money involved in the NFL for it not be be fixed or Shady to a degree... Do they decide the NFL Champs before the game is played.. maybe but I am not willing to jump of that bridge.

I have heard talk radio both in Pittsburgh and in the Phoenix area where I work and to claim all the media is saying it was poor officiating is inaccurate at best. They all say the same thing some iffy calls but nothing blatant that kept Seattle from winning. Same thing happend to the Steelers vs Indy in the Playoffs. In fact the refs were so bad they were forced for the first time in NFL history to make a public appology. They got shafted more so then any game n NFL history and they still found a way to win. Seattle was just not good enough to win plain and simple.
To make it sound like "ALL" the sports reporters are making it sound like bad officiating cost Seattle the game is very misleading and inaccurate. Again, what call was really blown by the refs? The only big play and it was a bad miss in my opinion was the holding call, but again OL are taught to keep the hands inside, not to give the ref any opportunity to make that call.
At the end of the day Seattle had an opportunity to win but the dropped passes, missed field goals, and gave up big plays.
