man i didn't realize how tough it is to not to lose your mind and get dogmatic while talking with jay-dubs a while ago.
just hearing those stupid answers, seeing the blank looks, and being called an apostate whenever they are cornered is soooo frustrating!!
have you guys had experiences like that too?
My brother had an experience like that, really pissed him off. I told him never to engage a jw - it's like banging your head against a brick wall. Not worth the time or effort and causes unnecessary brain pain.

Collards?! Oh my lord, collards, that is food of the gods...silly woman.

firpo carr argues that while many white apostates claim to highlight so-called 'racist' remarks and terminology in the watchtower literature, most such apostates are in fact white and have little real interest in black issues.
they are only interested in the issue in so far as they can use it to promote white anti-witness propaganda, whereas a high percentage of loyal witnesses are black.
i know that all the terms of my topic are debatable: apostacy is a witness term of derogation; apostates probably are mostly liberal and not racist (essentially); and they are not a 'movement' in any case.
Those quotes read like an opinion gleemed from stats not stated. You got any hard data to back this stuff up?

man, r u guys bitter?
i left behind many wonderful friends there. and yes if i were ever to get married i would like to marry a nice jw girl. i had a real nice gf there once. well like 3 but always scared of marriage so thats what held me back. i would break off the engagement for silly reasons. one was so nice that when i got really sick and was in the hospital for 1 month she came and visited me even though i wasn't active anymore. so i didnt have the trauma others have had. but that post is true i am deeply sorry for belittling others pain. my deepest apologies.
Oh my goodness! the tin man does have a heart!
I venture to say there is hope for you smelly.
Josie
luke 20:33- 36 talks about there will be no marriage after the ressurection.
my wife doesnt understand this and i know nothing about it.
what is the wts stance on these verses?
Then the publications say that those resurrected will be free of all desire for marriage and copulation. That they will remain single people.
Sounds like a zombie to me.

Fingers 09-06-2004, 12:20 AM It seems that the comedy series 'Little Britain' and the 'Only Gay in the Village' sketch has ruffled some fleece in Wales...
http://www.chortle.co.uk/news/dec03/gay.html
Quote of the article is undoubtably this:
Yvonne Evans, landlady at the village pub The New Inn, told The Western Mail:"I have never seen the programme but we did have a gay man in Llanddewi Brefi once.
"In fact we have had two gay men in my memory.
"But they did not live here at the same time. They missed each other, which is a pity I suppose.
"One of them showed me a picture of him wearing a big woman's hat, he did look quite glamorous actually.
LOL
