I artfully avoided getting baptied. But really my parents never pushed us to get baptised so none of us did. I dont even think we would have if they had pushed. All of us are pretty headstrong.

Other Types of Abuse...

anyone who regularly reads this site is well aware of the sexual abuse scandals amongst jw congregations worldwide.

(for those not familiar, visit www.silentlambs.org).

not to make light of those who were sexually abused, but i think there is an epedimic of other types of abuse in the org.. how many here have been, or know of, someone who was "spanked" regularly and excessively?

I know my mother would sometimes give me a spanking JUST TO REMIND ME SHE COULD. On occasion, it would go beyond spankings and onto choking, punching, and having things thrown at you.

My husband's mother did that when she was raising her boys (3 of them). She called it "GP" short for general principle, meaning she whooped their behinds with anything she could get her hands on (in one case it was a car fanbelt) because she just knew they did something. Didnt know what, but she was gonna whoop them just in case. I call it child abuse.

While it already is considered taboo for a white or black man to marry a bi-racial woman (at least in most places), most of the pressure currently comes from the family and community of the white or black party, not from the bi-racial partner's.

I'm sorry but I must be leading a very sheltered life but I have never heard of anyone in my circle of family (family mostly mixed black hertiage with inlaws of a other races) and friends (all races) saying that they would disapprove of a family member marrying "that mixed girl". Hell alot of my cousins are even more mixed than me, so your theory goes out the window.

Where are you getting this crap?

How do you trust your partner?

does anyone really trust their girlfriend/boyfriend around members of the appropriate sex?.

i thought we had some form of trust, but i dropped my biotch off at the car dealership today and noticed a rather long conversation going on with a "questionable" neighbor (one that we've talked about before in a sexual way).

so, how do you go about building trust in a relationship?

To all the people who seem to know that their partners won't cheat on them, where do you get your confidence from? People who know their spouses will always be faithful get cheated on all the time. Honestly, you never really know anyone. Woman especially think they know people for some reason, even when they're proven wrong. If you actually "knew" your men you'd probably run for the hills. For the most part we're sexually-driven, testosterone-filled beasts, but we try to keep it under control. I don't mean to generalize, but it seems true for the most part.

Well I know my husband wouldnt cheat on me. He's the kind of man that if it got that bad between us he would just leave before moving on to another woman, meaning we would end this relationship first. But no I dont worry about my man. We dont play jealousy games, dont need to. He's still attracted to me after I've borne him 4 children, and he's my best friend and I'm still hot for him. I trust him with my life.

Do you think we woman dont know how men are sexually driven? Not all women live in LaLaland where the men are sexually repressed and only ask for it when it suits us. That's little girl thinking.
