  Does an "all knowing" God have the leisure of choosing not to know something?

  this concept just always caused a conflict in my mind.

  i can remove the idea of predestination with knowing something in advance, why would the watch tower insist that god chooses not to know something?

  is that even possible for god?

  How Can I Kindly Kick Weak And Unproductive Publishers Out Of My Kingdom Hall?

  unproductive kingdom proclaimers won't leave my kingdom hall, how do i rid our hall of these vultures or turkeys?.

  "you can't fly like the eagles if you hang out with turkeys".

  after visiting your site, i decided to allow one of the spiritual weak individuals into my car group, it was not easy but you have made valid points i find very self condemning.

  there was a distressing thread concerning this topic recently.

  there is no way i can believe these stories as literal truth or even use them as any signpost to the nt jesus/god.

  these scriptures make judaism and christianity look silly.

  Great idea jgnat. I've been doing a little research on free college education sites since reading about it in a Time article a couple of months ago. MIT, Harvard, Yale, Stanford and a few other colleges and educational organizations are offering a lot of courses. You can't get college credit for any of theses online classes (you may get a certificate of completion) but I think it's a cool idea to get one's feet wet if one has never taken a college course or just want to learn something new and expand the mind.

  Weird "new world" artwork from the 2013 calendar

  my mother-in-law has a strange obsession with calendars, and orders the society's calendar each year.

  this year's calendar is especially weird.

  it features images depicting future events - in particular, the society's vision of the new world order.. i've taken the opportunity to scan some of the images for you all to check out.. please note - there are captions for each of the images, but i don't have the english language version of the calendar so i'd rather just quote the scripture used so as not to reveal which country i'm in.. .

  Clapping at the meetings and assembly

  i had a random thought this morning about clapping.

  growing up in the wt culture i learned the proper protocol for clapping.

  before the assembly speaker gave his talk, but not after.

  Aw, the clapping game. Another way for a bored jw kid to pass the time. It was fun to kick start the clapping. Funny my parents never caught on to what we were doing.
