I would definately call, send your love, leave your number, and let them choose if they wish to contact you. You never know in the future if they may decide to leave and need someone to come to.

Seeking your opinions on contacting relatives
by Swan init's been eight years since i have spoken to any of my relatives.
some (cousins, nieces, nephews) were young children at the time; now some are 18 and older.
they are not allowed to speak to me, but of course those rules don't apply in the reverse.

Letting go of JW relatives (Long)
by MegaDude ini've been out of the jws for some time now, seven years.
like many of you, i left a lot of acquaintances, friends, and family behind.. the acquaintances were fairly easy to let go, the friends very hard, and the family, well, near impossible, at least up until now.
that she should listen to both sides of the story without fear and make her own decision.

Very Good point Queenie, maybe someday I will feel exactly the same way towards relatives, right now the anger is still strong.

FD: Sorry this situation happened to you, and congratulations to your Aunt who had the guts to stand up to these people. I was in a situation at a funeral where I was showed FALSE love at the start, I figure so they could put on a big front and pretend they cared. After funeral, I had invitation to go back to house, by my (elder) brother-in-law. I refused, and said why should I come and be treated like dirt? He said that would not happen. I still did not go. Later I found out when someone came up to him and asked if I was going to be at the house, his coment SHE was not included in this part of the funeral. Oh the funeral was my step-dad's. May he rest in peace. I am very hurt and even angry that he told a bold-faced lie. If I could I would love for the rest of the elders at his congregation, which used to be my congregation to know what a liar he really is. He likes to kiss ass I guess. I am still hurting over this outrage of lying.

My vote #4. My hubby has mustache and beard, he shaved it all off one day, and I did not like it. He grew it back on. I love facial hair, most that is neat and tidy.

Sorry about your sickness, my doctor suggested before you even step out of bed, slowly eat some soda crackers. It made a whole lot of difference for me, I was pregnant with my second, and not as well with her as my first. She was 9lbs. 5oz. That was the end of our having anymore children.

by WildTurkey instore employees put up with a lot of shit.
when jerks come into their store treating them like crap, there is a lot that goes through an employees mind they just can't just say without loosing their jobs...
you are obviously smarter than me, so if you can't figure it out, what the hell makes you think i can?.

I can sooo relate to this, since I worked in retail for few years. Some people just make you stand their and shake your head, alot went through my mind with certain customers, but I always managed to put a smile on my face, and treat them with respect. When they left store, then I would curse under my breath.

JW girlfriend
by JohnZogby inhello, i am new to this site, and i am dating a jw.
however, my experience has been quite different from that of others doing the same thing.
unlike other posts that i have read, her parents (we are both 18) are supportive of her relationship with me, she is quite open minded when it comes to social activities, she has both jw and non-jw friends, and is a totally "normal" 18 year old girl.

Wow I have never heard of this situation, if I were you I would be very cautious of their intentions, maybe they are trying to convert you over to their side. I have only known that young JW adults or teens are only supposed to date other JW's. Looks like you are treading on thin ice. If these people are truly genuine in how they feel and act towards you and your girlfriends relationship, then they definately are an acceptance to the rule. All the best to you.
