How Do You Unwind?

lately, i've found listening to my "simpsons" cds while i'm driving home from work to be very helpful in de-stressing.

they always make me laugh, and it's far less depressing than listening to the news on the radio while i'm driving.. i've also been known to have bubble baths by candle light with a good relaxing cd playing (i have one that's of thunderstorms which is one of my favorites).

glass of wine optional.

Unwind, what's that?

Most of the time, my mind is always racing.

I used to go visit my brother, he is 3 hours away, we have similar personalities, we get along great, and sometime during the visit, we end up laughing, laughing, laughing, just like a couple of kids.

I love my time alone, so when everyone is gone, I usually listen to very loud music, my kind.

Once in awhile a long soak in the tub.

My best bud OFC just gave me the tapasteries CD, it is beautiful music, now if I could just relax that would be great.

Keep Sirona in your thoughts, Surgery today

sirona is going back into the hospital today for more surgery.

she will be going under general anesthesia to have more biopsies done.. i know its always scary to "go under.

" lets send warm thoughts her way and hope for the best with the outcome of the biopsies .. .

Bacon

well, my fluff thread on eggs went over pretty well, so i thought i would start one on bacon.

now, of course, bacon and eggs go together.

that is axiomatic.

I love food talk

I love bacon, it is great cooked and put in a ceasar salad.

I love bacon with eggs (over easy)

The two "B's" togeather, bacon in a burger. Yum

Bacon on a english muffin, with cheese, toasted under the broiler.

This is soooo not good for the arteries, but great for the taste-buds.

Did you experience favouritism at meetings?

as former jw i did witness favouritism towards elders and circuit overseers and also noticed how low status j-dubs actually lined up to speak to the circuit/overseers wife.even outside association seemed to be confined to say elders associating with elders etc.

i remember when even a sister gave a glass of water to a coughing circuit.overseer but i noticed she never did this to others in the hall.. then for instance how many at the hall formed groupies after meetings not making any effort to gell with others,i felt so sorry for those just sitting on there own.. so why do they act like this, it beats me because a lot of literature and talks focused on not being impartial to others,were they really taking it in or was it a question of congregation status or favouritism towards others.. also outside the meetings association didnt seem to exist and only confined to a certain favoured individuals.

I definately noticed favouritism.

1. for the PO, CO the big wigs

2. There was a few talks about people always sitting with the same people all the time, and that we should venture out and mix among the crowd, that lasted about 2 weeks, then everything went back to the norm.

3. Parties, only certain people were invited.

Soooo glad I am no part of that anymore.

JW Family, How Do They Drive You Up The Wall?

many of us still have jw family still very much held within the congregation.

personally, i love my family but they do have this uncanny ability at times to absolutely drive me nuts in sheer exasperation.

I could not have put it any better then you just did, all this goes on in JW families, hypocrisy, lies, and lets not forget gossip, and double standards.

To them, it's like your always wrong, but what I do in my home is totally OK, and alot of things are hidden.

Also shunning another biggy, we will shun some people, but not others, this drives me crazy.

Eggs

life here in our community has been tough lately, so i thought i would put up some fluff.

my question to you is: what is your favorite way to eat eggs?

now, my preference is hard boiled eggs in a salad, an egg salid sandwich, and the royalty of all egg meals - eggs benedict.

I like my eggs done (eggsactly right) taste better when someone else cooks them. But most of the time I cook.
